I absolutely loved this tour! I looked at a few Cascais/Sintra tours on Trip Advisor/Viator and finally decided to go with this one. It did not disappoint! This tour not only has the most stops at various beautiful places, but you also get a guided tour (and the ticket price is included!) of Pena Palace. Carolina was my guide and she was AWESOME! She really cared about our group and our experience, making sure that everyone was happy and safe the entire time. We hit some bad weather at the end of the day and she kept a smile on her face and made sure we were all comfortable. Highly recommend!

We were greeted by Carolina/Cat(?) who was very knowledgeable throughout the whole tour. The visit to Sintra was quick but all we needed as it was very cold and windy (it is colder and windy in Sintra than it is in Lisbon so dress accordingly). I was especially interested to see a cork tree so Carolina/Cat made a stop for us to see one and explained the growth system/cropping of the Cork tree which sounds boring but was very interesting!
We lunched in Cascais and had a look down the pretty streets then visited The Pena Palace and gardens which were well worth a visit. All in all a fab day with complete strangers who felt like friends by the end of the tour.
Worth every penny, thank you.

Even though I was the only person who booked this tour due to the low season, Tania picked me up at the location on time. The arrangement was absolutely perfect: Sintra town and several picturesque villages close to the ocean in the morning, lunch at Cascais and afternoon at the Pena Palace.

Tania introduced every location thoroughly and interestingly (as I said, she is very good at telling stories!) and we didn't stop talking throughout the whole tour. I really learnt a lot about Portuguese society, history and people. When I was walking around inside the palace and heard some other visitors who were confused about the history of the palace and the royal family, I was so glad I joined this tour and everything was clear to me! :)

Obligado, Tania!

We loved Carolina so much!! She was the best tour guide for a whole day experience. We drove from Lisbon to the Sintra old town and the down the coast to the most western part of Portugal, then to Cascais and back to Peña palace. She gave us ample time for photos and to do our own thing at each place. At Peña palace she gave us a more detailed tour and talked a lot about the history. At Peña palace, we had to walk up a 10 minute hilly walk to the very top of the castle, but she gave us a nice history of the beautiful gardens!! If you don’t like to walk, there was a tram you can take to the top for €3 but she gave us plenty of time to rest on the way up!! It was really cold so I recommend bringing a jacket. Highly recommend this trip!!!

This was a fabulous day! My wife Debbie and I joined 5 other people and our guide, Tania. The areas we visited are close to Lisbon so it wasn’t hard to get there. We saw fabulous stuff! Tania was our driver and guide. She is exceptional and a lot of fun. The tour was well organized; Tania knew her stuff. Saw great stuff, learned a ton, ate great food and had a lot of laughs along the way. I’d be remiss to not give big props to our group- it was a fun crowd and that made it all the more worthwhile. Can’t recommend it enough!

I can't say enough great things about our experience with Lisbon Riders. Nunu was an absolutely superb guide for our travels to Sintra and Cascais - he was knowledgable, talkative and just plain fun, and our experience was further enhanced by Manu who drove us and added further "color" to the different sights that we visited. We learned a ton about Portuguese history, culture, food, you name it! All of the stops on our trip provided something different to enjoy. The town of Sintra was adorable and we enjoyed some delicious pastries while there. On the way to Cascais, we stopped along the shore line and saw the power of nature in full view with a stunning surf from the cliffs. The Pena Palace was just plain extraordinary. We had a terrific day, a real highlight of a couple of weeks of European travels, and I would 100% recommend to anyone to go with Lisbon Riders on their trip to Sintra.

We took this wonderful tour from Lisboa on March 8 with Carolina and six traveling companions. Our main interest was to see some of the land and sea scapes outside the city which we did! It was a thrill to see the Atlantic Ocean looking west! Every part of the trip was well timed, interesting and we loved it all. We started with the National Palace of Sintra..a charming albeit very hilly summer town. The walk to it was more than I could do (which I expected) and I waited for the group. Carolina was very kind and flexible! In fact throughout the tour she was warm and informed. She learned and remembered everyone’s name and something about each one which she connect when possible to different sites, views or history. The trip would have been great with any guide but Carolina made it special!

I thoroughly enjoyed this day trip to Sintra and Cascais. Caterina was a wonderful guide, friendly and very knowledgeable, and the small group meant it was very easy to move around. I liked the balance of free time to explore with the time spent in the van and together as a group, and the places we visited - Pena Palace is just amazing, while both Sintra village and Cascais are beautiful. Visiting the most westerly point of mainland Europe was interesting too. I thought this tour was very good value and a professional outfit; I thoroughly recommend it and wish I had more time to try another of this company’s tours.

This tour was absolutely wonderful! Our guide, Tania, was brilliant company and knows EVERYTHING ;-) Her knowledge and passion for the areas really added to our appreciation. There was only me and my partner on the tour and it has left us with really special memories. I hope as things open up again this tour gets busy as it was great value and a real highlight of our trip! Thanks Tania and Lisbon Riders for making a trip at this strange time so stress-free and magical x

Our guide Catarina was great! She was very knowledgeable and a good storyteller, but also fun and making jokes. We were a small group of 5 tourists and she took us in a van to more places than I expected. Apart from telling us a lot about the history of the places we were seeing, she also shared interesting facts about the Portuguese people, the culture, and the language, and gave us some good food recommendations. All in all, it was a really pleasant experience and a great and fun way to learn new things!
