Small-Group Florence Food Walking Tour
From US$74.74
Stray from the tourist trail and enjoy a true taste of Florence on this food and walking tour. Designed for lovers of Italian cuisine, this tour takes you to San Lorenzo Market to discover Tuscan products you may otherwise have overlooked. Sample specialties such as artisan bread, truffle pate, cheese, olive oil, and coffee in tried-and-tested eateries, and learn about the history of Tuscany’s culinary culture. Plus, you’ll receive personalized attention in a small group limited to 12 people.
What to Expect

Your culinary adventure begins in central Florence, where you’ll greet your guide and head on foot to a coffee shop to sample two varieties of coffee bean.

Next, you’ll taste a panino tartufato (truffle pâté sandwich) before wandering past stalls selling enticing Tuscan produce in San Lorenzo Market. Here, you’ll pleasure your palate with olive oils and sweet balsamic vinegars paired with crostini (toasted Italian bread).

Taste wine from Tuscan vineyards in an enoteca (wine shop), accompanied by regional cheese and meat, before satisfying your sweet tooth with Italian ice cream at a gelateria favored by locals.

Your tour concludes at the original start point.

more than a food tour

We had an amazing guide, Marcia. We not only got an introduction to local food delights but as Marcia knew her history we were treated to a tour of the landmarks en route.

I agree. 2-3 hours. There were just the two of us on that particularly wet february day but the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth doing. Enjoy
