Wonderful experience! Alex was very friendly and made sure we were all taken care of. Murano and Burano were absolutely beautiful! The glassblowing experience was magical to see a master at work. The boat was clean and comfortable. We would agree with other reviews that we would’ve liked to walk around Murano for a few minutes however that would make the tour longer and we already were pretty tired. Had a very yummy lunch in Burano. The kids are not into fish and we wanted more time to walk around so we got sandwiches and pizza at a little shop on the right on the main street. It was like a croissant bun with sesame seeds on top and it was fabulous! And of course we had a spritz. Highly recommend!

We had a good time and the glasswork and the lace were both fascinating. Burano is so picturesque, it’s definitely worth the trip. I only rated it four stars because we needed more time on each island. This could be two hours longer - one more for each spot.

DO this tour if:
You are looking for a very easy way to get to these two islands. If you are not wanting to figure out the water boats or want to be on a certain time schedule then this is the perfect tour! The guide does the work for you and it’s very easy to see both without having to buy boat tickets etc.

DO go see Burano even if you don’t do this tour - that island is BEAUTIFUL!!

DO NOT do this tour if:
You are looking for a great history and guided tour of these islands in English. The guide was very friendly but he would spend 10 mins explaining something in Italian and then give the English version in 2-3 sentences to follow. Also on the islands there isn’t much shown to you specifically as landmarks etc - the first island is a glass tour and then second island is free time for lunch.

If you want to spent a lot of time on the islands shopping, walking and dining, this is not for you. But it is a well organised trip in which we learned a lot about the history of Venice, the laguna and the islands from our very good guide Alex. We were 15 people on the boat, which is a nice number. The tour takes you to a glass factory (20 min demonstration and a visit in the shop -some wonderful pieces). Short boat trip to the basilica. Boat trip to Burano, if you don't take a big lunch enough time to walk through the center and do some shopping. Back to Venice by a different route passing lot of islands.

This trip is excellent value and very enjoyable. Murano was great but my favourite was Burano - so beautiful. Thanks to our guide Luca who shared a pleasant mealtime with the group in a tried and tested restaurant!

We went with the boat first to a Murano glass factory and we're shown how the glasses are produced. After we discovered the island some more and in the last part we went to the Island Burano, which we personally liked the most of all places we had seen in Venice.

I would recommend this tour, it was great to see Venice and get something to know about it.

I very much enjoyed this trip. Our multi-lingual guide was kept busy with all of the translations because there was so much for him to relate to us.
We landed on Murano by the glass works. A fascinating demonstration of glass blowing was given with the creation of a vase followed by the creation of a horse figurine; we spent a good half hour walking around the glass works' shop . We then had an enjoyable walk around Murano.
Following Murano we headed across to Burano. We were taken to a lace shop before being released to make our own way around the island to take photos and/or buy food; we had roughly 50 mins to investigate Burano. If you wanted to explore and take some photos and get a meal there wasn't much time.

The whole trip was lovely. Easy to find the guide and a decent boat that could probably have held 60 people to our 10. The glass blowing factory was really interesting. Plus a little guided tour to the cathedral was great and the detail of the floor well explained. Quick drink of Prosecco on our way from Murano to Burano provided on the boat. Burano was gorgeous. We had enough time to explore and have lunch at the cafe the guide recommended. The guide was Alex, I think, and he was very good.

This was a fun, interesting and great value for money activity. The Murano glass factory was very interesting and cool to see up close. We had a nice lunch in Burano where we ate some of the local seafood. Being on a boat to get around was a great way to escape the sweltering heat! The tour was on-time, the guide was friendly and helpful.

Mr Gianluca is very knowledgeable about the venetian culture and is very user friendly. He made sure to keep the interest of the youngest to the oldest in our group.
Definitely will book another trip with him.
