Milan Food Walking Tour of Brera
From US$69.12
Overview

With its hip galleries and atmospheric restaurants, the district of Brera is Milan’s art and gastronomy hub. Taste your way around the neighborhood on this food tour, during which you’ll try delicious staples of Milanese cuisine that you may otherwise have missed. Samples such as saffron-flavored risotto, cured meats, and breaded veal are all included on this culinary adventure, a great choice for food lovers and first-time visitors.

What to Expect

You’ll meet your guide at a designated meeting point in Milan, where you’ll set off to explore Milan’s hip and artistic food hub on a neighborhood tour. The group size will be limited to 12 people, giving you an insider’s overview of the area and personalized attention from the local guide.

Get a peek at bustling markets and discover Brera’s vibrant restaurant scene with stops to sample local specialties and traditional Italian delicacies, from mondeghili (deep-fried meatballs) and silky prosciutto to artisanal beer and craft cocktails. Dishes vary depending on the season, so you’ll be guaranteed fresh and tasty treats at any time of year.

You’ll learn about the city’s evolving history, from its ancient origins and Renaissance-era canals —possibly designed by Leonard Da Vinci— to the futuristic business district of Porta Nuova. After you’ve eaten to your heart’s content, you’ll enjoy a Milan-style aperitivo at La Bicicletta, a popular arts bistro, before heading to Piazza XXV Aprile in central Milan to finish the tour.

Around 3 hours but I would Allow half a day (morning) to get to Brera (we took the subway and walked) and explore after.
