Priority Access: The Official Vatican Tour with Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica
From US$93.14
Overview

If you’re not sure what you’re looking for, you can easily spend a day getting lost in the Vatican in Rome—not ideal if you’ve got limited time in Italy. Ensure you only see the best of the Vatican, and save hours waiting in line, on a skip-the-line tour that also includes access to St. Peter’s Basilica. Plus, a small group limited to 12 means you’ll receive personalized attention.

What to Expect

Your tour begins in central Rome, where you’ll greet your guide and—with skip-the-line ticket in hand—sail past the long lines that often form outside of the Vatican. Once inside, you’ll make a beeline for top Vatican attractions, such as the Gallery of Maps, Raphael's Rooms, and the indisputable main attraction: the Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo’s frescoes adorn the ceiling.

After discovering little-known information about the history of the landmark, you’ll continue to St. Peter’s Basilica to admire standout features, such as the gold-painted ceiling and altarpiece. Your tour concludes here, but you’re free to continue exploring independently, if you wish.

We were picked up at our villa and taken to the tour office near the Vatican arriving at around 7am.....after a fabulous croissant and coffee we were off. The museum entry I believe began allowing us in at 8am.
