Highly recommend this tour, it was fantastic start to finish! The meeting place was super easy to find, they will provide the details/address. We met up with Guia G. who was a delightful source of knowledge about the Vatican. After a short walk (8-10 min and up a decent amount of stairs) we joined a queue in front of the Vatican museum. As soon as the museum opened at 8, the line moved very quickly and we were in pretty fast. We received our headsets from the museum and there were some issues at the start that got fixed. Guia is very knowledgeable and provided amazing detail about what we were seeing in a storytelling way that kept you interested. The tour included the grounds, the museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. My headset died about 3/4 through so I missed a lot of info sadly, but the tour was still amazing. The value for the price paid was tremendous. We toured in early July and no masks were required. You need to adhere to the dress code, or buy a scarf to coverup. When we were in the Vatican, a security person came by our group to advise of pickpockets, so be aware. Highly recommend!

We appreciated your superb review of your day spent with Guia, isn't she just terrific, and you chose a lovely time of day to explore the museums. And delighted too that you found our meeting point instructions easy to follow, we realise Rome is a bit of a maze so maps and photos are always helpful for visitors. The museums are vast and with so many artworks, treasures and stories from days gone by, it takes a true professional to know exactly what are the highlights and there is no one better equipped than our glorious Guia, thank you so much for joining us! We were sorry that the headset died, sadly we are not permitted to use the ones we prefer as the Vatican Museums have a rule that only their own devices are permitted but you were a good sport not to let it ruin your day. Good advice to your fellow travellers about the dress code and how nice of that fellow at security to warn you of pickpockets, what a hero! Hope the rest of your stay was magical and that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back very soon! Pips

My parents and I used your company for two tours: Vatican and Colosseum. John was our guide on both. He was punctual, extremely knowledgeable, and accommodating to the mobility issues of my parents and others in our group. John also kept us entertained and informed even for the minimal periods when we had to stand in line, ensuring that no minute was wasted and that our money was well spent. Thank you for the great tours.

My friend and I did the Early Morning Vatican Tour with the Sistine Chapel. Maria Letitia was our guide and she was fantastic. From the very beginning she made us feel very welcome and secure. Throughout the entire day she demonstrated her deep knowledge and expertise, balancing these with being personable, humorous, and friendly. Maria Letitia made our experience unforgettable and really opened our eyes to the incredible history of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. Grazie mille!

Our guide, Maria was so knowledgeable and amusing, she was mindful of all of us in the group as we varied in age. I am partially deaf and she went to great lengths to ensure I had bigger headphones and that I could lip-read her, I really appreciated that.
It would have been even better if we could have had a break mid-way as it was such a lot to take in and four and a half hours on your feet in extreme heat is pretty tiring.

Hi, thanks a lot for taking the time to write such a detailed feedback. We are indeed happy to know that our guides approach towards the clients is inclusive & kind. You are right, it is a rich tour but since there is much to show you in 3,5 hours on this Essential tour, this isn't time to include a long break, next time join us for our 5-hour Immersive tour, which not only includes a 30 minute break but also a visit to the Pinacoteca, the painting gallery! Thank you very much for joining us and for taking the time to let us know how much you appreciated the experience with Maria Letizia. Pips

Gracelyn was a delight! She was fully versed on the history of the Vatican, its Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. She made you feel as if you were with a good friend you’ve not seen in a while. I would encourage anyone looking to have an introductory guided tour through the Vatican museum, a thorough explanation and guided viewing of the Sistine Chapel, and tour through St. Peter’s Basilica to take this tour. It will not disappoint! Thank you, Gracelyn!

We loved this tour, in spite of the freezing cold morning! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made the history unfold like a good story (which it is). She explained the art and the techniques used, the history behind it, and the people throughout - like people one might know. She really brought history to life. Seeing the treasures of western society all housed in the Vatican is an extraordinary experience and a privilege. Don't miss it!

What a wonderful experience this was. From the booking with Pips to the tour with Thomas.
It was a last minute decision with a few friends.
Pips worked with us to be certain we had the time we wanted. She was accommodating and helpful.
She made sure we had all the information we needed and were satisfied.
Thomas, our guide, was a wealth of information!
The tour was incredible.
I have had tours of the Vatican before but never like this.
I have recommended this company to a number of friends and all have been as happy as I was.

Another outstanding performance by our tremendous Thomas and what an achievement to have his Vatican tour voted the best ever! He will be chuffed to pieces to read your wonderful review and so nice especially after all these months of uncertainty and global lockdowns, it is truly delightful to have our guides back out on the streets and taking guests around the sites and monuments sharing their love and passion for history. We were thrilled to have you with us and thank you so much for recommending us to friends, greatly appreciated - be sure to let us know next time you are in Italy so we can organise more adventures for you! The tour was a wonderful introduction to the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's. Our guide, Federica, was knowledgeable, informative, open to questions, and full of stories that brought the vast, rich Vatican to life.

Dear jtrav1225, Thank you so much for your beautiful review! Yes the Vatican is, just like you said, vast and rich, a never ending treasure trove full of beautiful artwork, religion, history and spirituality: it can be overwhelming sometimes, but with a guide like Federica you really hit the jackpot! She is sweet, very knowledgeable and loves her job. So we are glad to read that you were able to see many areas of the Vatican and appreciated the passion and knowledge of your guide. Grazie mille! We hope to see you soon again in Rome! Best regards, Francesca

The Early Morning Vatican with Sistine Chapel was worth every penny. I feel it best to mention that we did not start with the Sistine Chapel so while it was far less crowded than later in the day it was still very crowded in July.

Our guide Federica (Feda) was amazing! In our entire 18 day excursion of all Italy and a few other countries she was by far our best guide. Her enthusiasm and love of her country, the Vatican and history was infectious. Her knowledge was expansive and her humor enjoyable. The tour of the halls, the Pope’s grotto , St Peters Basilica and Sistine Chapel were absolutely wonderful. It was warm but the early morning helped. There was a lot of walking and we were tired but it was well worth it. The group was not overly large which helped with keeping up and the “whispers” as they Calle the radio with earphones was really beneficial.

Hello SamanthagT9007HV, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with us. Wauw 18 days of excursions, you must have had so many impressions during them. We are happy to read that Federica succeeded in showing your around the Vatican in indeed a busy period of the year. Because of the popularity of the Early Morning entrance, we have tried to come up with the best schedule and we believe this is not to 'rush into the Sistine Chapel at once. Also because afterwards you would have to back track through the entire museums, not a pleasant experience in our opinion. We are happy to read that you agreed with this. It's an early start, but worth it! Thank you again for your kind words and we hope to see you again! *Desiree*

A tour guide needs to be genuinely interested in their subject to create a memorable experience and Dr Enrica Armentante is such a guide. She created the right balance and delivered the information in a way that was relevant to those visitors with little background knowledge and those with an interest in renaissance art.

The tour includes the key sculptures such as the Laocoon and the Apollo Belvedere, the Raphael frescoes and the Sistine chapel before going to St Peter's Basilica. Most visitors will be mainly interested in the Sistine Chapel and we spent 30 minutes there. It was busy but not too crowded like it is later in the day so plenty of time to appraise the beauty on display. Personally I was interested in seeing the stanza della segnatura and the other Raphael rooms and too little time was spent here for my liking but then again a tour is an introduction not an in depth visit.

The tour finished in St Peters and we then paid to climb the dome which made a fantastic end to the morning.

In summary this tour represents a good way of seeing the key sights of the Vatican in relative spatial comfort - rooms are moderately busy but not resembling a train station which sadly is the case the rest of the day. We booked a general entrance ticket for later in the week in order to see the Pinacoteca and other parts of the Vatican Complex.

Ciao Jonah! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We are very glad that you were able to enjoy our Early Morning Vatican Tour. We specifically designed this tour so that in the areas, such as the Raphael Room and Sistine Chapel, you would have the least amount of people as possible since we have access to the early entrance tickets as a tour provider of 20 years. Our Enrica is quite the enthusiastic guide. She, being a native Roman, shares quite the passion and love for the history of Rome. We are very glad she was able to articulate this to your group creating you a memorable experience as you so eloquently said. Thank you for sharing your review! Grazie, Dylan.
