Limoncello Tasting and Scenic Cruise: Amalfi Coast Day Trip from Rome
From US$228.90

Get to know the Amalfi coast on this full-day, small-group tour of the region by train, bus, and boat. Designed for travelers who might be short on time, but don’t want to miss any of the beauty and culture of the Amalfi coast. Avoid the often-confusing logistics of getting to Amalfi from Rome, and let your guide handle the details including all transportation costs.

What to Expect

Meet your guide at the Roma Termini railway station at 7am for a 7:15 departure. Settle in for a high-speed rail journey along the Italian countryside to Naples where you transfer to your private bus for the journey to the Amalfi coast.

Your first stop is Positano, a stunning seaside town with picturesque cliffs. Get the lay of the land with a guided tour and then have two hours to explore on your own. Browse the upscale shops, sip an espresso, or take a dip before meeting your group for the 30-minute journey to Amalfi.

Keep your camera handy for lovely hilltop and ocean views, and then arrive at a lemon orchard where you taste locally made limoncello. Next, you have an hour to explore Amalfi on your own before meeting the group for a 40-minute cruise to Salerno, where you will board the high-speed train back to Rome.

Awesome tour and well worth spending the full day to see!

I've been dreaming of visiting the Almafi Coast for years and while planning my most recent trip to Rome and Venice, I really wanted to try to finally get there as well. This tour appealed to me the most with the train ride to Naples,...More

One of the BEST parts of our trip!

We absolutely LOVED this tour, and our guide, Cristina, was just wonderful. I would absolutely recommend this tour to others. From the shopping in Positano, to the unbelievable views from the boats, and the limoncello tasting in Amalfi, it couldn't have been better. It exceeded...More

Amalfi Coast Day Trip

The view were unforgettably beautiful. A fun bullet train ride, a professional and comfortable mini bus along the coast and a great couple of boat rides. Chiara was awesome! Great fun and beautiful time.

My husband and I had planned this "bucket list" tour 9 months ago. It was our most expensive day trip. We were very disappointed that once we arrived in Naples and transferred to our van, the driver decided to take a round about way to...More

I’d check out what typical November weather is and also contact the tour. If there is a lot of rain forecast I wouldn’t do it but if it’s just cooler it would still be lovely. Also ask if the stores close down when it’s off... More

Your time at the beach will be in Positano. You will be able to do the beach OR shop, but not both. I don’t know if there is a place to change. The beach is pebbly-not smooth sand. We walked out to the water after lunch, but... More
