Great way to see the Amalfi Coast
Sep 2019 • Couples
This was an excellent tour with a fantastic guide. The meet and greet was easy and the small group was just what we were looking for. There were six of us and all thoroughly enjoyed! The transport options with train, minibus and boat allowed a great vantage point to see the countryside from excellent perspectives. The places we visited were awesome, the limoncello farm visit was a good touch and there was sufficient free time. These places, Positano, Amalfi etc sell themselves but a guide can make or break a visit... our guide,(I think was Rhianne) was exceptional:) She wasn’t overbearing, didn’t talk all the time, provided excellent information on the sites we visited but was also available when we had other queries at any time. A lovely lady and very generous with a little wine to relax with on the train return! We’re heading to the UK this year and Europe again next year and will certainly use and recommend ‘Walks’ Cheers, Stu Deb.Brad, Paula, Pete and Lynne

Fantastic experience by boat
Chiara was an excellent tour guide and explained so much. This is an action packed, better be in good shape excursion! It was a full day. We were very fortunate with the gorgeous weather. I wish we had more time in Positano, as we loved that better than Amalfi. The high speed train and well driven minivan were great experiences.
The trek up to taste Limoncello wasn't the highlight of the trip for us only because of a bad foot and steep stairs.
My pictures don't do it justice. Be sure to get to the boat lines early to be able to sit up top.
Wonderful way to take in the coast while staying in Rome.

Hi KKJMAX, Thank you for your kind review and recommendation! I am sorry to hear that your foot was troubling you during your recent tour, I'm sure that would have made climbing steep steps a little difficult! It is wonderful that you had a fantastic experience otherwise, however. I hope that you were able to enjoy the rest of your vacation just as much as this fun-filled day trip and that we get to walk with you again in the future! Warm regards, The Walks Team

A beautiful trip down the Italian coast!
Oct 2019
This tour is absolutely phenomenal! Even though we had a few hiccups along the way (none of which could have been anticipated), Cristina, our guide, handled everything professionally, and I think we got a better tour out of it! The sea was too rough to ride the first boat to Amalfi, but the drive down the coastal road was stunning. Overall an amazing experience!

Very Much Worth the Time
Oct 2019 • Friends
We had the best day. The weather was wonderful and the views gorgeous. Everything went very well. We met our guide at the train station, took a train to where we got on a bus. The bus ride was comfortable. Positano was a nice stop, but the real views were in Almafi and on the boat looking at the coastline. I’m glad I had started on a health/workout plan a month earlier. It sure helped with the hike up all the stairs to the lemon 🍋 orchard. I highly recommend this day trip for anyone staying in Rome. You get a good feel for another part of Italy.

great way to see Amalfi Coast if you're not staying there
Jul 2019
The four of us spent a day with Pavo in July, as I'd always wanted to see the Amalfi Coast but we couldn't fit in a stay on the coast itself during this trip. We found this tour, and were very glad we did. You start by taking the train from Rome with your very knowledgeable guide, then a bus to Positano where you get to wander on your own for a couple of hours, then a ferry to Amalfi, hiking to a lemon farm, then the ferry to catch the train back to Rome. The views from the lemon farm, as well as the lemon cake and limoncello we got to try, were amazing. Did you know you can eat the entire lemon of this varietal, peel and all? Pavo was funny and friendly and knew so much about the area. He wrapped up our day on the train with local bufala mozzarella and other local delicacies, which was an unexpected much appreciated added touch. One word of caution, if you're prone to motion sickness, take something before you get on the bus to Positano. It's a very narrow, twisty road. Our family (teenage and preteen daughters) all loved this trip!

Overwhelming Beauty
Sep 2019
The Amalfi Coast has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. The train and bus and boat ride were comfortable, the guide was exceptional, and the views were incredible. Though it was a long tour it was very worth while.

Amazing Sights taken time the next level by our guide!
We are on our first trip to Italy and decided to experience the Amalfi Coast with The Walks of Italy team. Our guide for the day was Giorgia and she did a fantastic job. She answered all of our questions, provided history on all the areas we visited and was truly a pleasure to be around. It was like having a family member guiding us around - personable, friendly, knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this company and Giorgia to anyone looking for a tour while in Rome!

Beautiful!
Our guide Antonella was wonderful! She was funny and incredibly knowledgeable. There was a lot of logistics like getting to the train, the bus and loading on the ferries but her instructions were always clear and helpful. The sights are gorgeous. The church is Positano was a must see. Also Chez Black is delicious with a fun staff. The hike to the lemon orchard wasn’t bad after the first set of stairs. The view was worth it!
