Overview
Experience Rome's local foodie districts, including Trastevere and Campo de’ Fiori. Includes pizza, gelato, wine and pasta. Walking around the Eternal City is an excellent way to work up an appetite; a food tour is the best way to end your day of sightseeing. Led by a local foodie guide, visit some of our favorite restaurants and trattorie in Rome.

Highlights
  • Sample authentic Italian dishes on a guided food tour in Rome
  • Discover the tradition of aperitivo: wine or prosecco and hors d’oeuvres
  • Visit a variety of eateries to eat courses from cheese to pizza to dessert
  • Get to know Trastevere and learn where to dine next during your stay
What to Expect
Meet your guide near the Campo de' Fiori square in central Rome in the early evening. Arrive with an empty stomach so you have plenty of room to sample foods at each stop. Start your guided Roman food tour with traditional Italian aperitivo—a glass of Italian prosecco or wine and hors d'oeuvres. For your next course, cross the Ponte Sisto bridge into the foodie neighborhood of Trastevere where you’ll sample a variety of meats and cheese before moving onto pizza, local Italian pasta dishes, and dessert. Come prepared to walk a moderate distance from restaurant to restaurant, which will help work up an appetite to eat at a minimum of six stops. Your tour concludes in the city center, near Largo Argentina.

This was such a fun tour! Everything was so well planned and our guide knew everything about Roman food and where to eat it. And naturally, the food was delicious (and too much). We started with street food: pizza bianca and red wine (a “sandwich”...More

I don’t eat fish. At the cod stop there was a vegetarian option. Let your guide know once you arrive - or if possible with the site in advance. The family meal does have veal - which I don’t eat. But there was more than... More

You should be okay! I'm just trying to remember if there were any stairs involved on the walking portion of the tour, but I don't believe there were! If you're able to walk into the restaurant yourself, you'll do fine. :)

I think the streets could be a problem. I would ask the place beforehand and maybe they could change the route for you.
