Itinerary

Greet your guide at a meeting point on Plaza Isabel II in the city center. Then, walk together through the city’s historic streets to discover the local nightlife, cultural landmarks, and top spots for an authentic taste of Madrid’s cuisine.

Stroll through Plaza Mayor, passing the San Miguel Market, and along Segovia Street (Calle de Segovia). Discover the city’s Moorish roots as you wander by the Arab Walls, and admire the Royal Palace while learning about the history of Spain’s monarchy.

Pause at four tapas bars to sample authentic Spanish cuisine and immerse yourself in the local dining culture. Taste specialties, including Spanish tortilla, paella, ham (jamón), chorizo, and manchego cheese, and enjoy a variety of beverages, including Spanish wine, sangria, Licor de Hierbas, and patxaran (liqueur). At the last bar, settle around a table for a full sit-down meal.

Your tour concludes back on Plaza Isabel II.

Daniel was a fun tour guide. He gave us a lot of information and was a lot of fun. The tapas crawl where locals would go, wine, beer and the paella with sangria and finishing with shots were amazing. The paella and sangria were the...More

Enjoyed the food - wish the guide had been more flexible

First, let me say that we did enjoy most of the places that we visited and the introduction to "real" Spanish tapas that we were given. There was some sort of last minute change with our guide. To be fair, they communicated well. It started...More

yes wine and/or beers. Sangria at the meal at the end. We stood for the croquettes but not long, sitting everywhere else. Also we went in the holidays so it was quite busy. Book it, you won't regret it.

You would have to try to book the tour for Christmas day to be absolutely sure. My GUESS is that neither the tour nor the restaurants would be open on Christmas. Religious holidays are special times for Spaniards. They... More

We experienced a good amount of walking and the food stops seemed to be time sensitive. In other words, we were expected at the stops on time. I’m sure there was some leeway, but frequent rest stops are probably not... More
