Relaxed presentation & practice of cooking techniques and regional products.
Very realistic, starting with shopping at the local market and then preparing/cooking
- Sangria
- Paella mista
- Crema Catalán
Eduardo, our chef en chefe, would have ben able to tell much more, had he been asked.
The resulting lunch would have cost you 25+ EUR at nay of the area restaurants.
I had hoped for a bit more Spanish, but most of the 10 participants spoke (only) English, so Spanish was under 20%.

If you are looking for an amazing Spanish cooking class, look no further! We recently spent 4 hours with our wonderful talented joke-cracking Chef, Theresa, who not only taught us how to make delicious tapas, but also made us sing together as we were doing it. We’ve taken many cooking classes before, but this one definitely takes the cake! The food was amazing, the recipes easy to follow, the ingredients already premade and sorted for you. The individual induction cooktops made cooking safe and fast. But the cherry on top was, of course, the communal dinner we had at the end as we enjoyed our own hand made dishes. Theresa is amazing, highly highly recommend this class! We’ll be back for the Paella cooking class next time we are in Madrid!

My friends and I loved our cooking class with Eduardo! Our morning visit started with a trip to the market where we were able to learn about the types of foods you would see in a grocery store and where they come from. Then, we were able to use the ingredients we picked up at the store to make delicious sangria, paella, and crema catalana.
Eduardo was a fantastic host! He spoke excellent English, was so thorough in his explanations, and I was so impressed that he took the time to learn each of our names and interact with us throughout the experience. Not only did we learn more about Spanish culture from him, we also picked up a few new kitchen tips and tricks too.
This experience was definitely one of our favorites of our whole trip! I would recommend, without a doubt, to anyone who has an interest in food culture.

What a great experience! We walked through the beautiful old Barrio of the school, while the host shared stories of its history. We bought our food in the local market, cooked, learned, sang and enjoyed a meal together. It was lovely. I highly recommend!

This was a really wonderful experience. Theresa took us (total size of group 10) to tech local market were we saw fish being prepared for sale, chicken being cut and we also bought olives, bread, along with the squid, very large prawns and mussels, and then we went back to nCooking Point's place nearby. It is vert centrally located just 5 minutes walk form Prado Museum. Theresa was great fun and she taught us how to make sangria, creme brûlée and paella, and we had such fun following her instructions. She had us all singing and we all managed to follow her instructions and she helped us. Theresa has lovely personality and she was very inclusive. We then ate our meal that w had cooked and she even gave us an extra half an hour of her time to allow us to relax and enjoy what was a truly unique experience. I would very highly recommend this experience as a wonderful way to enjoy Spanish culture and gastronomy.

You can meet a new culture by gazing at its monuments or wandering its museums. We prefer to connect through our stomachs. Eduardo facilitated that connection with four hours of shopping, cooking, eating, and drinking that will be a favorite memory of our time in Madrid. Eduardo's kitchen classroom is contemporary and sparkling clean. Eduardo is organized and clear in his instructions. Our small group included two who required halal, and Eduardo adeptly accommodated them, adjusting both shopping and cooking. We are experienced cooks that thought we knew much about sangria and gazpacho, only to find Eduardo's way is much better but not more difficult. What a great memory of Madrid!

Angel was great. We learned how to make Spanish dishes and also learned quite a bit about Spain and its culture. We went with our family and another family. Angel's pace of instruction was flexible and clear. Angel has a great personality for the role. He did a great job managing a Lake Forest couple that tried to make the show about themselves. Highly recommend.

We are in Madrid for a week for a Spanish immersion class. We are trying to soak up all of the culture we can. We have taken a tapas tour to restaurants before, but this class allows us to take a bit of Spain home with us. Eduardo was so fantastic that at the end of the evening even my husband enjoyed cooking! Eduardo is a very patient teacher and even indulged us by speaking Spanish to us when we asked him to. The kitchen is very professional in a lovely location very near the Prado. The food is delicious ! Eduardo supplies recipes so you can recreate the experience at home and to go boxes because there is so much food you can’t possibly eat it all! Sangria is served throughout the evening. All in all I can’t think of a better way to spend one evening in Madrid. Great value, lots of learning and a fantastic experience!

The class was great. We prepared 5 tapas and a dessert plus Sandra. Theresa out chef was amazing. She provided the opportunity for us to both prepare the food and really cook. She provided outstanding instruction and was helpful on many levels. She has a great attitude and really seemed to enjoy what she does. The food was quality and plentiful and most of all delicious! The facilities were very nice and set up week with individual work spaces but allowed for a partner in the preparation. We enjoyed our lovely meal at the end and recipes were provided. I would recommend this for anyone that is enjoying the Tapas either as beginner or a seasoned cook. It made for a great evening for our group of 4.

Favorite experience on our recent family trip to Madrid. Walked to market and learned about the variety of foods in each booth as our chef purchased our supplies for our feast. We asked lots of questions and learned so much! Then the fun began and Eduardo demonstrated and talked us through the preparation of Sangria, Gazpacho and Paella while snaking on spanish olives and sipping on Sangria. So much information and good food!!! A must do experience.

Hola! El precio incluye los ingredientes o hay que compralos en la visita al mercado?

Si, los ingredientes estan incluidos en el precio. Luego te lleves la receta para que puedas volver a comprarlos cuando quieras preparla en casa.

Is the class hands-on cooking?

Yes...you learn by making the dishes on your own. They guide you every step of the way, and watch so that you'll end up with something that "tastes" amazing, even if it doesn't "look" amazing (hey...there's only so much they can do!)

Theresa is very accommodating. She asked everyone about food allergies and special requests. Then, we all went to the market to buy the food that we cooked.
I only speak English, is this a problem? I will be staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Madrid Princessa is that close to the Cooking Class--like in walking distance?

I couldn’t tell you about the distance from hotel to the class but the lack of ability to speak Spanish was not an issue. The instructor spoke English and the class was conducted in English. All attendees were from the States. We had a great time. Enjoyed the whole experience. We bought a recommended cook book at a local book store, neither the store or the book were related to the class or instructor. Received some restaurant recommendations that were great. Could not have been a more positive experience.
