About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- V3239LScharlesv0 contributionsMade it to the top!My husband and I signed up for the e-bike tour and were not disappointed! We enjoy physical activity and at the age of 60 this was a great option for us. The e-bikes are easy to operate and do most of the work on the steep inclines! We were able to travel all around the rock, the village, and hit many of the stops in the nature reserve making it all the way to the top! This was truly the perfect way to see the sights Gibraltar has to offer. Stuart our guide was so informative giving local history and insights all along the way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoy physical activity!Written 24 January 2025
- Mr_Pab_20160 contributionsEnjoy Gib by BikeStuart was really welcoming and answered my questions in advance very promptly. My so and I had never ridden and E-Bike before but the instruction was simple and effective. Knowing the Rock, we rode without any guide and did not use the map. The Electric power was really good going up to the upper rock and in traffic we both felt really comfortable. I will be back in a few months with my wife and will have no hesitation in hiring again.Written 23 December 2024
- B2711IBrichardc0 contributionsRock of Gibraltar self tourEasy online booking. Stuart helped us get our waivers done and set the bikes up very quickly. He made sure we had a lesson on proper use of the e-bikes since we had not used one before. The electronic map he provided was great for our trip around and up the Rock. We think this is the best way to experience the Rock of Gibraltar.Written 26 October 2024
- wakeb0ji0 contributionsGreat way to see GibraltarBikes were in excellent condition. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and passionate about his country. I feel like we got an intimate experience in and around Gibraltar.Written 25 October 2024

- wetandhappy0 contributionsProfessional & great funFrom start to finish this is a highly professional outfit- from the amazing bikes to our great guide Andy or and mustn't forget the boss Stuart - helpful with a great manner. Tour was a perfect way to see the island, ask varied questions(many) and Andy had a vast array of knowledge as well as being amiable and gave us a brilliant experience. What a wonderful way to be enlightened, ask anything, gain fresh air and utilise high quality bikes- thanks Stuart & Andy. On a side note had an issue with our Bromptons that got sorted- appreciate that 👍Written 30 September 2024
- David L0 contributionsGibraltar e-bike tourGreat tour, really nice e-bikes, individually fitted to each rider before starting. The guide was very knowledgeable and kept the pace for perfect timing to return to our cruise ship. The e-bikes allowed those in the group with less cycling endurance to keep the pace without trouble. Highly recommend.Written 5 August 2024

- robine3930 contributionsGreat day outGem of a day. More active, fun, memorable and cheaper than a half day carted around in a stuffy minibus. Stuart’s advice was ideal - few get to go completely around and over the rock.Written 13 October 2023
- jayne99440 contributionsNo fitneee required ! Just a love of magnificent views.Excellent tour. Interesting, informative, all the nooks and crannys of Gibraltar on easy to ride e bikes a cyclist and ex Gibraltarian and seriously couldnt fault this tour. I wish I had booked the 3 hour instead of the 2 hr as I didnt want it to end. A much better alternative to seeing Gib than crammed into a mini bus. Guide was brilliant. Will re book when back in April.Written 9 October 2023

- Roam5988930 contributionsE-bike rentalWe chose to rent the e-bikes and make our own way around the island. It was quick and easy to rent the bikes and the gentleman in the shop was friendly and set us up with our bikes quickly. He also sent us a map and a recommendation for a drink/lunch at Europa point. We had a brilliant day on the e-bikes. They were easy to use and were a great way to get around the island. If we come back to Gibraltar we’d definitely hire the e-bikes again.Written 26 September 2023
- V5184KPandreag0 contributionsA great trip up and around the rock!I can wholeheartedly recommend a full day of sightseeing in Gibraltar using these e-bikes. The team are very helpful and friendly and clearly very passionate about their bikes. The bikes are very comfortable, make the cycling effortless (even on the steepest roads) and are ideal for getting to all of the tourist attractions both in the nature reserve and elsewhere. We had a super day and would definitely recommend this as the way to get about here,Written 16 August 2023

While we didn't actually go on the tour as planned, I wanted to give a big shout out to the integrity of the company. Early March is not the best time to visit Gibraltar. While we hoped the weather would cooperate, the rain started coming as we were walking to the shop and the forecast was 100% rain for the next 2 hours. We called the number on our reservation, and someone immediately picked up. He explained that they were still going out on the tour, but anyone who wanted to cancel would be able to and receive a full refund. Well done E-bike and Tripscape!

We had an excellent tour with Damien, our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and showing us multiple points of interest that we were not aware of, despite multiple previous visits. He not only gave us the history of the rock but what it was like to be a Gibraltarian.
The bikes themselves were awesome and they made light work of the steep inclines of the nature reserve. A lot of money has been invested in cycle lanes so a lot of the route was incredibly safe.
A must do if you’re only in Gib for a short period.

Me and my partner booked this experience and it was the highlight of the whole holiday! We had the best tour guide - he took us around, we made many stops where he told us about each thing we saw and took some lovely photos of us at the landmarks. The value of this experience is so amazing and we are both so glad we did this experience. It’s honestly the best way to see the top of the rock as you are immersed in the environment the whole time. The bikes were great and considering neither of us had cycled in years, we didn’t find the journey too much at any point. The bikes were very good at going up hills and we both felt very comfortable on them. We loved the bikes so much we even paid the next day to rent them for the day for ourselves! Thank you so much 😊 we won’t ever forget this experience.

We had fun, saw great sights, and got chased by monkeys(!). Our tour guide, Dave, was wonderful and shared lots of local knowledge. However, our jaws dropped when – an hour in – Dave casually mentioned that we would not be going to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar. It was apparently closed for construction for several months, and no one (including the owner, Stuart) thought to mention this when selling us an expensive "ROCK TO THE TOP" private tour. We found it hugely disappointing that they were not more upfront about this. A word to the wise - make sure to find out what you're really getting!!

Very pleased that you had such an enjoyable tour and sorry that we did not achieve our usual 5 star experience. The closure of O'Hara's Battery was supposed to be a very temporary measure but it is dragging on. We do not feel that it detracts too much from the enjoyment of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve as a very similar view is achieved from the Skywalk which we visit when we ride along the top ridge of the Rock. We have changed the literature on the tour description to ensure it is not overlooked in future. Wishing you well, Stuart

The best attraction to see all of Gibraltar, David was an amazing tour guide, so knowledgeable about everything to do truth Gibraltar. He used every minute to get us to so many view points including the very top of the rock. (We even got to see Boney M - thanks for sorting that Dave)!! The bikes were well maintained and David judged our ability perfectly in order for us to experience an amazing day and get to visit so very many attractions. I would recommend this to everybody who can ride a bike!

WOW, what can I say... absolutely fantastic. We did the Top Tour with Damien as our guide. There were 3 of us, myself, Shaun ( my hubby ) from Cornwall and Duncan from Bristol. We were shown how to use the e bikes as none of us had used one before, and then we set off after Damien explained a bit of the history of Gibraltar. They are so easy to use, I really struggle with gears on a bike, but the gearing on the E bikes are so easy. I was dreading being in the traffic but the Gibraltarians are very tolerant of cyclists. The tour is done at your pace and when Damien is explaining the history at each stop, he will also answer any questions you have. You’re never rushed, it’s very leisurely. The price includes the entrance fee to all the attractions at the top of the rock. I can tell you that there are some very steep hills that you go up. You stop half way up one steep hill ( to go through a barrier into the nature reserve) .. please don’t panic.. this is where the e bikes come into their own. As soon as you push down on the pedal the bike “sort of takes off” this is the electric engine kicking in so all you do is just pedal as normal. Minimum effort is used to go up the hills, my tip just turn the gears a little at the time so when you are pedalling you are slightly pushing down, you don’t want your legs to be going really quickly because you won’t get anywhere !! Coming down the Rock was the best ever exhilarating thrill. I had a whale of a time coming down, there are a few hairpins which I finally mastered half way down and I did see 44 kph on the speedometer !! When we came out of the Grand Siege Tunnels, I happened to look at my watch only to find it was already 6pm,( it’s a 3 hour tour which we started at 3pm) but Damien didn’t rush us at all, he still answered any questions we had.
I think by the time we got back to the E bike shop we were running at least 1/2 hour late, but nobody minded ( including Damien) as we had had a lovely afternoon.
We did see quite a few apes (one had her baby ) along the route, which was lovely as you see them in their natural environment, I was just glad they didn’t run in front of my bike!!
A bottle of water is provided, but I would strongly recommend that you take more with you, especially if it’s a warm day, as we could quite easily have drank the bottle after the first hill, and there are a few more to go !!
If I could give this tour 10 stars I would as we had an absolutely fantastic time, If you visit Gibraltar and you have a spare few hours do the tour, I assure you you won’t regret it. We will definitely be doing it again next time we visit.

This was a fun informative tour, somewhat challenging, but certainly doable if you’re in average shape (I’m 70, average shape). We went August 31 2023. Stuart was very responsive to questions and our guide Frankie was friendly and gave excellent information on the formation of Gibraltar and the history behind it. Also, it helped that he was ex-military, and British. It is recommended to park on the Spain side and walk across the border, which is what we did. (Note that you can walk across the tarmac of the airport in Google maps does not seem to know this) Also, Stewart can give you a link of how to get a parking spot reserved ahead of time which helped tremendously because the lots can get full.
As indicated in the title of the tour you use an E-bike. If you’re not familiar with these, they help you power the bike but you do need to pedal. The only thing that needed some adjustment for me is that my thighs were getting tired and it helped to slightly alter the seat height so that it was maybe quarter to half-inch higher. A bottle of water was provided and there are several stops to rest and take pictures and also there’s a store at the caves where you can buy more water.
Bottom line, this was fun and good exercise with a great informative, friendly guide, and awesome views! Thanks!!

Can’t recommend more highly, if you are average or better on a bicycle this has to be the best way to see the Rock. Felt very lucky to be whizzing past all the poor people walking up the hill in 30 degree heat, then of course the descent is just so much fun. Our guide David? 😬 was very knowledgeable and friendly. I never felt unsafe at any time. The caves are remarkable and the military emplacements and tunnels unbelievable.

What a great way to tour Gibraltar..... Catherine and I did two tours on consecutive days; first one to Top of the Rock and second Around the Rock. Our guides (David & Andy) were excellent; both provided informative narratives as we toured and ensured that we safely negotiated the roads and cycle ways. The E-Bikes provided were very good quality and easy to ride. We learned a lot about the Rock’s history (both modern and ancient) while taking in spectacular views in brilliant sunny weather. Catherine and I heartily recommend E-Bike Gibraltar as a 5* high quality and personable organisation. Thanks to Stuart and his team for making our stay in Gibraltar so memorable.

The EBike Gibraltar Rock to the Top Tour was top notch! 👍. We had an intimate group of 6. Although it’s an e-Bike, you need to pedal and be able to ride through crowds of people and tour buses. David, our Tour Guide is a native to Gibraltar and provided invaluable information and history. David was patient, funny, enthusiastic and genuinely cared we had a great experience! 👍 David took many pictures for us! 📸
It was nice to see Stuart Hedley, owner & operator so hands on from greeting us, introducing us to our your group, and ensuring we had the right sized helmet for our 3 hour tour! 😁
The timing of our tour was great and we got to the top of the rock. “No one left behind.” 😜
I highly recommend this tour to others and felt good it was an eco-friendly tour and lucky to ride the new bike lanes in front of the shop! We have long lasting positive memories of this amazing tour! 😊

Hi, how many people are included in this tour? What is the minimum?
Can we modify it and add the caves if we forgo something else?
Can we rent bikes from you and do our own thing?
Thank you,
Chris

Dear Customer Service
We are very interested in this ebike tour and were curious to know whether it includes a visit into St Michaels caves.... While it mentions this cave in accessing the Apes Den... it does not show inclusion of any entry fees into the cave site
Please advise...
