About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- thedunnoman0 contributionsRock tourVery good trip around the rock. Knowledgeable guide, good central location to join the tour bus. Getting off at the ww2 tunnels and walk back into town well worth it.Written 18 February 2025
- P9961GUmariag0 contributionsTruly magicalThe whole experience was truly magical. The dolphins played happily beside the boat and circled us for ages. The weather was beautiful. The man on the boat was very helpful and gave us lots of information. All in all a perfect trip.Written 17 February 2025
- KayTee01080 contributionsDon’t!Would not bother. Basically just a bus ride with other tourists and very meagre commentary. Considering the price, a huge disappointment. Also, I paid for 4 adults and only got tickets for 3. No response from the tour company when I asked.Written 4 February 2025
- roxanaz8690 contributionsAn amazing experienceAn amazing trip. Our ghid was very nice, she told us a lot a things, took us to beautiful places where we could have beautiful places. And of course we enjoyed the ape's presenceWritten 7 January 2025
- Wbetz0 contributionsGreat way to see the sights of GibraltarThis was a great tour. The tour was by small bus, the driver was friendly and informative. There was much to see on the tour, it was well managed and at a good pace. This proved to be a very good way to tour the sights of Gibraltar. It would be impossible to see everything on the tour walking or on a bicycle. And forget about renting a car here, that would be very impractical. The pick up spot was a bit hard to find and a good walk from the port, but not really a problem.Written 27 November 2024
- Ramkumar V0 contributionsWorthless Gibraltar TourThe tour was useless as it is rushed with limited spots where the van stopped. At WW2 tunnel 20 minutes allotted time was grossly inadequate and so we had to walk back climbing down many many steps. Better to take cable car than using this tour by Blands Travel.Written 18 November 2024
- Sk8terL0 contributionsMore than MonkeysFascinating tour with an articulate and informative Gibraltar native. The bus driver was also very accommodating. The cavern was impressive to see, as were the WWII underground tunnels. Monkeys were a hoot! I had no idea there was so much to Gibraltar. Captivating tour!Written 13 November 2024
- cinders2520 contributionsAverageStarted of with being over 30 mins late to start the tour. Driver was good and gave us information about Gibraltar. Tour was very rushed and really didn’t give you a good sense of what you were seeing. We spent ten mins in st Michael's caves. Not nearly enough time, to see this wonderful place. Then parked up for 15 mins to see the monkeys, which was great, but a lot of others in the same space. Then got dropped off at the tunnels, 30 mins untill picked up again. Felt we had to rush or miss our car back. As it was that was late as well. Overall an average trip.Written 13 October 2024
- pauli3940 contributionsWow!!This trip lasts about 2 hours, cost us £25 each and was well worth it. We sailed about 15mins into the Gib bay area on the look out for the resident pods of dolphins. We didn't have to wait long before we saw them. Fantastic to see them swimming along with the boat or jumping the wakes of other boats. We even got a glimpse of a shoal of Tuna feeding. Bonus.Written 2 October 2024
- pauli3940 contributionsGood tourOur tour took in, Europa point, St Michaels Caves and the Apes Den. We were dropped off at the Siege tunnels and walked down to the WW11 tunnels and the Moorish Castle, then bimbled down the steps into town. Gary, our guide was class and knew his stuffWritten 2 October 2024
- Departure8002700 contributionsShort but thorough tourWe really enjoyed the 2 1/2 hour tour we took with Blands travel in a comfortable minibus van. St. Michael’s cave was spectacular. Great views from the top of the Rock. Saw the apes close up. Tunnels were impressive. Our driver guide Nicky was knowledgeable and friendly and happy to answer questions. Though the time was short we felt we got to see the key sites and learned about Gibraltar.Written 15 September 2024
- sarben760 contributionsGreat!Really enjoyed the commentary from the tour guide and saw everything we wanted to see. We spent too much time at the first stop so didn’t have as much as as we would have like at the WWII tunnelsWritten 13 September 2024
- gazza560 contributionsGood 4 daysWent for a few days to see if it had changed much in the 47 years since I went last , Main street not changed much ( no haggling now) but the rest is unrecognisable now , Glad we went but probably not going to return. People are so friendlyWritten 8 September 2024
- karen_lclifton0 contributionsDay tripWe enjoyed the tunnels. Miles of walking if you want to & flat. Interesting facts & models to looks at. Nice & cool in there on a hot day as well.Written 29 August 2024
- myeleni0 contributionsPre paid cable car tickets are no quicker - get a bus tour which can be our shaded when there .Don’t believe that if you buy a ore paid ticket on line that you are fast tracked as we still had to queue 2.5 hours to collect the prepaid ticket .Also it was hot and cramped in the cable car and you saw little going up. It was a tiring stressful option which gave us little time to explore once up there. From my experience and from talking to others whilst in Gibraltar the bus tours were the best option for a similar price per person as you get the views on the way up and they stop along the way for you to explore the attractions which unless you had all day up the rock and are very fit to manage steep inclines and hundreds of steps , were actually a long walk away from the cable car. Also we purchased 4 cable car tickets included entrance to nature reserve and 1 ticket only to enter nature reserve in order to walk up. The entrance points were different but all tickets could only be redeemed at the same time and not from the different entrance points so I recommend different transactions if purchasing tickets in order to have your own QR code as it couldn’t be shared .Written 22 August 2024

My girlfriend and I stayed in Gibraltar and went on an excursion that allowed us to visit all the main places, including those where monkey families live.
We didn't book any tickets in advance. In fact, I strongly Recommendation to ask the taxi meeting point to give you a guided tour. For 50€ each, in a group of 4/5 people, they will take you around and show you the most beautiful spots. If you are not in 4/5, the taxi driver will form a group of 4/5 people to allow you to visit everything at the indicated price.
I do not recommend buying cable car tickets yourself or organizing the tour yourself, because there is really a lot to walk and you can not visit everything. In fact, many people who try usually go back after spending money and spend more on Guide, thus finding themselves paying double.
Our Guide/taxi driver was called Thomas and he was very good: very prepared, explained everything and took us on a beautiful and immersive tour. We were very pleased!

It's interesting to visit Gibraltar, but once in a lifetime, that's enough.
Hours in queues to get in.
The Portuguese just need to have a citizen card to enter. No passport required.
We paid €45 per person, to visit the space, in a van for 9 people.
Walking would be impossible, due to the heat and not allowing us to drive our vehicle to the highest point.
The price is very high for what you see.
We spent too little time to interact with the monkeys.
Still, for once in a lifetime, it's worth it.
When we left the movie it was even worse.
2 hours and 20 minutes in line, to show our citizenship cards again, in the infernal heat.
Most spaces accept euros, but charge in pounds.

Thank you for your review. RE the queues unfortunately that's beyond our control as its a border crossing from Spain to Gibraltar ( a non EU country).
The tour has a duration of 90 minutes and has to be timed to be able to see everything in the tour description.
Tour booked via us is 33€ not 45€.
our currency is GBP and Euros may be accepted at a conversion rate. Gibraltar does not use EURO as their currency.

We arrived in Gibraltar in the late afternoon and opted to avoid the cable car line in favor of a very affordable and fun bus tour.
The tour hits all the major stops on the Tock of Gibraltar, including the cave, the glass platform at the top and the monkeys. Stops are adequate in length (15-20 minutes). A great use of time and just slightly more expensive than the cable car option.

Took minibus from Cruise Terminal, (Cab Drivers are in a Cooperative, though a number are touting by Dockside , the style is that they get customers from the arrival boats and when they have got a party of 8 they fill the waiting 8 seater minibus and then the pattern is repeated infinitum. Our driver only had 5 customers at £70 per person and was waiting and waiting until we said we either go or get cab in town. We boarded , driver not particularly happy , taxi was well worn , commentary was almost non existent and though the views from The Rock and the St Michaels Cave experience was magnificent , the taxi driver guide was uninspiring. We were informed towards the end of the hour long journey that The Great Siege Tunnel was not on the trip. The driver did state that he was retiring in the near future and his cab had a For Sale sign on the back, says it all.

To start with the driver was 40 minutes late when to drive across the whole island takes 10 minutes. We got to our first stop and me and my partner fancied getting a coffee from the cafe that was next to us. Whilst my partner was waiting for her coffee to get delivered our driver (Francis) very rudely told me that the bus was leaving and I very politely said “my partner is just waiting for her coffee to be made, she will be 2 minutes at the most” he demanded that she leaves the cafe and got on the bus to which I was forced to tell him not to speak to me with such a tone and allow her 2 minutes to get her coffee. Almost immediately after finishing what I was saying my partner was in view walking back to the van and once again the driver demanded us that he would drive off. Once we had brought a coffee and a snack the driver very rudely told us we couldn’t eat or drink on the bus which in my opinion should of been mentioned before driving.
For the duration of the tour the driver was very dull and boring with giving us all the facts along the route and to be very honest we had much better experiences with taxi drivers giving us historical facts just going for place to place, much more interesting experience.
Lastly we paid to go to the war tunnel to practically go caving however there was a power cut which means we weren’t able to do it, nobody’s fault these things happen. Our driver however was very rude immediately saying it’s not his problem. He did suggest us sitting down at a local castle however it was there for the public so clearly didn’t compensate the money we spent on the tunnels. I said I would like a refund and once again he very rudely told me it’s not his problem which is not something you expect to hear from a tour guide representing a company.
The day ended with the driver being very rude and aggressive to me when I told him I didn’t like his attitude and I was very disappointed with the experience.
100% would not recommend to anyone, get a taxi to take you everywhere I can Guarantee a much more pleasant experience!

The Bland’s Tour was the perfect solution to a limited cruise ship stay in port. Peter, our Guide/Driver was excellent in pointing out all the local spots of interest, or historical significance. Added to the audio tape segments, his commentary was spot on! He kept the entire mini-bus in good spirits the whole way……including on the hair-raising, narrow passage up to the Top of the Rock! Would def recommend for anyone who wants to get the “must see” spots done efficiently. Oh yes….the “apes” were sprite as advertised!! 😁 Thanks Bland’s, and Thanks Peter! (Gene & Melissa from Florida)

Booked as a package from a hotel in Torremolinos and set off around 07.45. Various pick ups meant not getting to the Gibraltar border until 10.30. There was a queue of around 40 minutes where you have to get off the bus and walk through passport control and into Gibraltar.
The Rock tour started at around 12.30 and our driver (in a minibus) was David. He was very knowledgable and added a number of jokes through the trip. They offer buses for different languages so most tourists should be able to find a suitable one to understand the guide.
Historic information given throughout and the first stop was europa point. This was spectacular and gave a view of Spain and Morocco (quick 10 minute photo opportunity). Swiftly onto the St Michael’s Caves where you get issued with a wristband for entry and need to move quickly (even with a queue at entry) as you only have about 20 minutes to get in and out. There is a wonderful light show every 7-8 minutes but could well be missed to get back to the bus. There are around eighty steps of which most are in the auditorium towards the exit. You can ask to enter through the back and just look from the top of the auditorium but you will miss the wonder of the caves.
The onto the final stop at the Apes Den. You get to see the famous Barbary Macaques and can take photos. Beware they may want to relieve you of food etc. if you don’t keep hold of it.
Then back to the Casemates area to complete the tour. Could definitely do with more time at each point and other companies offer an added part of walking back from the rock to take in extra sights.
The tour took just about 90 minutes and at least allows you to appreciate the rock in a condensed timeframe.

If you plan on taking a cruise along the southern coast of Spain, make sure the cruise line visits Gibraltar. After you get off the tram & view the shore & airstrip with Spain in the distance, your tour guide will
walk with you into the tunnel system. The
history of the 48 miles of tunnels begins in
the 1700's thru WWI & WWII. It is amazing all the work done on the tunnels & water resovirs. After walking a couple miles of tunnels, we walked down to the cavern full of beautiful stalagmites & stalactites.
Colored lights bring out the beauty of the rock. From there you walk into St. Michael's
Cave which has 500 seats for concerts & light shows. This is absolutely amazing.

Wow what can I say paid 40 each adult to go to 5 different tours on the rock. Absolute great guide and driver called tony, could of listened to him all day. We caught the tour in castle main square and 40 included driver who have the history, Hercules point, st michaels cave entrance fee, skywalk entrance fee and tunnels fee. Definitely do it

Booked this tour and went there yesterday, but for some (unknown) reason, the number 2 Stopp "The Rock of Gibralter" with 60' break did not take place.
The St Michels Cave Stop was very nice. But the 20' too short. There is a a light show every 7' in the caves auditorium and its not really possible to observe this. With the missing 60' stop at "The Rock of Gibraltar" we could have given more time there. So the whole tour did last less than 90'. For USD 50,-- per person, it looked a bit expensive for what we received.
