Highlights
    What to Expect
    Day 1: Sarria

You will begin your walk in Sarria, the most popular starting point of the Camino. Everywhere you look there is evidence of the pilgrims journey before you. Visit the 7 pilgrims hospital, the Magdalena Monastery, and enjoy spending time in one of the many cafes before you start your walk.

Day 2: Sarria - Portomarin (Breakfast & Dinner)

Your first day walking takes you from Sarria to Portomarìn through peaceful villages. The way is marked with the renowned yellow arrows and scallop shells for you to follow. Stop off in the beautiful Romanesque church in the village of Barbadelo for a little rest.

Day 3: Portomarìn - Palas do Rei (Breakfast & Dinner)

Today you start out from Portomarìn, climbing steadily uphill to Serra de Ligonde. The rest of the way takes you through forest paths and farmland. Stop to visit the Romanesque church in Eirexe, with its portal featuring a sculpture of Daniel with animals, as well as Pilgrim Santiago.

Day 4: Palas do Rei - Arzua (Breakfast & Dinner)

The trail takes you through the charming town of Leboreiro before you reach the market town of Melide. Galicias traditional dish of octopus is served throughout Melide so this is a great time to try it out. You will follow a forest track, walking toward the town of Ribadiso where you pass by a beautifully restored 15th century hostel. Tonight you can explore the town of Arzùa.

Day 5: Arzùa - Amenal (Breakfast & Dinner)

Spend today crossing streams through pretty woods and medieval villages. Visit the Chapel of Santa Irene and the lovely hamlet of Rùa along the way. You will walk on country roads and forest tracks until you reach your destination at Amenal.

Day 6: Amenal - Santiago de Compostela (Breakfast)

Your final day of walking will take you by Lavacolla, where pilgrims used to wash themselves in the river in preparation for their arrival in Santiago de Compostela. Rows of tall eucalyptus trees line your journey to Monte do Gozo (‘Mount of Joy’), which is 1,207 feet tall (368 meters). From here, you will catch your first glimpse of the famous Cathedral of Santiago. When you arrive in the city, explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site’s architecture and delight in the wonderful atmosphere of this spiritual and cultural mecca.

    Day 7: Santiago (Breakfast only)

This is the end of your tour. Explore the beautiful town of Santiago before you go home. Remember to get your pilgrims passport stamped to mark your achievement.

Yes you receive your Compestelo if you walk more than 100k and Sarria to Santiago is 112k. Re the other questions I would contact Camino ways directly not through TripAdvisor Buen Camino
