Overview

La Sagrada Familia is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed cathedral designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. It is now one of Barcelona’s most popular attractions, with a line of visitors to match. Beat the crowds on this exclusive tour, which includes access to the cathedral before it opens to the public for a more intimate experience.  Plus, you'll avoid lines often in excess of two hours with a skip-the-line ticket.

What to Expect

Your morning begins right at La Sagrada Familia, where you’ll take a moment to admire the building’s dizzying, playful exterior. Skip the long lines already gathered outside and head inside, where you’ll have exclusive access to the cathedral before it has even opened to the public.

Walk down the cathedral’s five aisles that are shaped like a Latin cross and admire the Catalan masterwork from the inside. You can check out the bright stained glass windows and soaring ceilings at your leisure while your guide gives you background on Gaudí’s fascinating architectural inspiration. You’ll hear why construction on the cathedral was begun in 1882 but halted in 1926— and why it remains unfinished. But there’s no rush: you’ll also have time to explore on your own.

With an optional upgrade, you can have exclusive access to the Tower on the Passion facade, where after a short climb you’ll be treated with a spectacular panorama of the city.

Not early access at all, great tour guide though

I booked this thinking I’d get in before the general public as advertised (8.50am entry instead of 9am for public) however we were still in line waiting to get in at 9.06am! I’ve since read other reviews and others are saying the same thing. Our...More

Worth booking the tour as it is such a busy and popular attraction

Our guide was informative, our queue fairly short. I think that we chose a less busy day for our visit. The Sagrada Familia is an awesome building. Great tour - so pleased that we did it!More

There is an elevator up, so the steps only matter coming down. And they are not all together - many places along the way to stop, enjoy the basilica from different angles, cross over to another section, etc.

The tour itself with the Tower access is about 2 hours. Without tower acces it is about 1 hour and 30 minutes but you are not guided in the towers - you take you time. You can also walk around after the tour has finished... More

The tour actually begins around 9:15 once you’re through security. Then about an hour and a half for the tour, but you are free to roam the basilica as long as you like after.
