Overview
Explore La Gomera without any time-consuming planning on this day trip from Tenerife. Make the most of the scenic island with guided visits to its capital, San Sebastian, and other highlights, and experience a demonstration of the age-old indigenous whistling language—difficult to arrange, if exploring alone. Lunch, plus all transport, including return ferries, Gomera minivan travel, and Tenerife hotel transfers, are included for a complete door-to-door outing.
What to Expect
Book your required hotel pickup and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Tenerife’s west coast for your ferry to La Gomera, considered one of the most scenic of the Canary Islands.

On arrival at the capital, San Sebastian, take a walking tour: Stroll the pretty streets to see the Church of the Assumption (Iglesia de la Asunción) and Columbus House, where it’s thought the 16th-century explorer stayed.

Continue by air-conditioned minivan to take in the stunning coastal and Hermigua Valley panoramas from the Carboneras Mirador viewpoint. Then, enjoy a traditional local lunch with wine at El Cedro.

Afterward, explore Las Rosas village on foot before a fascinating demonstration of Gomera’s ancient Silbo Gomero whistling language. Finally, take the return ferry to Tenerife, where a hotel drop-off concludes your day.

Please note: Occasionally, lunch may be in Las Rosas with the El Cedro stop composed of free time to explore.

Great way to see La Gomera

We Went with Atlantico excursions. Picked up promptly and transferred to tour bus just before the port. Our tour guide Alexander was a delight. Very knowledgeable and informative. We felt we had a good insight into this stunning little island.
