Overview
Head beyond the city to the beautiful Mallorca mountains and walk the “old post trail” from sky to sea. Hang out at a hidden beach where few tourists ever go — and dive in for a watery dip or just relax on the rock. Discover the amazing seaside village of Banyalbufar in the Serra de Tramuntana. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach with typical Mallorcan food and drinks. Learn about the Mediterranean flora of this mountain region. This small group tour is limited to maximum 9 guests.
Highlights
  • Discover the history of rural Mallorca from your local guide
  • Travel by local bus for insight into real island life
  • Escape the crowded beaches with a visit to a secluded shore
  • Enjoy an authentic, locally sourced picnic lunch included in the price
What to Expect
Meet your guide on Plaza Espana in Palma and board the local bus (fare included) that will take you to the starting point for your hike. As you’ll be walking natural terrain, it’s advisable to wear comfortable footwear, and pack your swimsuit for a dip in the sea. On arrival, leave the bus and begin your gentle hike along a mountain trail, admiring the landscape and discovering its history and biogeography from your guide as you stroll. Reach the village of Serra de Tramuntana, and explore with your guide to learn more about its Arabic influences and rural traditions. Head to a secluded beach, popular with locals. Here, pause for an authentic Mallorcan lunch of empanadas and cocas de trampó (flatbread with vegetables), followed by pastries like gató and ensaimadas. Relax with a swim in the Mediterranean or sunbathe on the shore, before catching the local bus back into Palma, where your tour concludes.
