    Variaty and huge fishes
Huge fishes that look more like old gods than your run-of-the-mill stuff you find at the fish market.

Definitely worth a visit to keep the little ones entertained
Took my 5 year old there to get a break from the heat and "shopping". Absolutely loved the aquarium - the english commentary/explanations are a little brief but loads of animals to see. Plenty of other activities too to keep kids engaged. Parking is easy nearby or you can take the bus.

    Excellent freshwater aquarium
This aquarium is divided in to five zones on five continents, Nile, Murray-Darling, Mekong, Amazon and Ebro. The signage is informative and the fish, mammals and birds look well cared for. The aquarium is on two floors and is well laid out. There is a good film about the birth of the baby Nile crocodiles born here. Well worth a couple of hours visiting.

    Zaragoza Aquarium a hit!
Compared with our benchmark :- Sydney Aquarium, this aquarium is on par if not better in many ways. The focus is freshwater fish habitats and they do this really well! There were also animals such Marmots (monkey from the Amazon) iguanas, snakes, monitors and many different types of turtles. The kids absolutely loved it. I do not understand why it was not crowded when we visited. The whole area it resides in was built for world expo 2008 and the whole place is now devoid of people, this may be part of the reason. We had visited San Sebastian aquarium last week and this aquarium is much bigger and more interesting.

    Excellent!
You can get a combined ticket for the aquarium and the Zaragoza tourist bus from the tourist office at the station for only 15€ - a bargain! The aquarium was huge and really well laid out and presented! The focus on the five different rivers really showed the contrast in environments in different parts of the world. Strongly recommended during a visit to Zaragoza.

    Well worth a visit
Good way to spend a couple of hours. It was much larger than we expected, with a very well layer out route & all the information was in three languages ( Spanish, French & English)

    Something Different to Do
After a long walk along the river we made it to the aquarium. It was a fun way to spend a few hours. They also have a beautiful terrace upstairs with great views.

Plan for at least of a couple of hours stay
A walk from the old town and we found it easily amongst the mainly empty Expo site. It was feeding time for many and we were invited to watch and have explained several details about some of the animals there on a quiet Monday lunchtime.

I have never visited such a splendid aquarium and very much surprised by the types and sizes of fish and other creatures. A very worthwhile visit.

    Huge facility
Well worth the trip to see this. Easy to get to using the hop on hop off tourist bus which is valid for 24 hours. The aquarium is the largest fresh water aquarium in Europe. Kids and adults will enjoy this alike

    Worth searching for
The Aquarium is on the site of Expo 2008 and is not well sign posted. The hop on hop off bus stops there. There is a good selection of exhibits with a few mammals as well as fish and reptiles but the descriptive panels by the tanks are quite confusing since some of them dissolve into a different language every few minutes.

    Amazing Fresh water aquarium!
This aquarium was absolutely amazing as it had animals from different rivers rather than seas. It showed a different aspect of aquariums and animals and therefore was interesting and entertaining. I absolutely loved it!

    Highly under rated
It's a bit pricey at $16 euro but it is quite a nice older style aquarium that is well worth a visit. The arapaima exhibit is amazing. My wife and I went and had the place to ourselves. Loved it.

Friendly place
If you take in the tourist office the entrance ticket and the tourist bus tour it is 18 euros or the Award the admission only to the aquarium! Saving of 6 euros per person or tour by free tourist bus: it’s how you want 😉
If you present your bus ticket it’s less a euro on the entrance to the palace and other museums... so good deal

It looks like a very small aquarium, however the interior is surprising because it is very well distributed. Organized by areas of the world, there is quite a variety and unusual species. If you go to Zaragoza with kids you can spend about two hours without a problem.

We went to the aquarium after visiting two others in other provinces (Coruña and Donosti) and found this the worst (or least interesting for us) of the three visited.
The facilities are in worse condition than expected, the glass was scratched so sometimes it was annoying to see the animals.
I have a phobia of snakes so I was uncomfortable for practically the entire view. There were 3 large snakes in different spaces. The first almost started and the other two quite often. One of the workers told me that the third one was the last one. It made me improve my experience in the rest of the aquarium.
I don't think I'd come back again.

Thoroughly enjoyed this, the largest river aquarium in Europe. It doesn’t feel vast & is cleverly laid out, focusing on 5 rivers of the world. In addition to fish there are various other creatures including snakes, crocs & turtles. Kids will love it. It’s located outside of the old centre, in the Expo zone, which itself has some interesting buildings & leisure space. There’s a casual cafe at ground level & a more swish looking rooftop restaurant with great views.

This aquarium is one of the best I've been to. There's so much to see and entry was cheap. We went on a Friday afternoon and had the entire aquarium to ourselves. The big fish tank with the Arapaima is amazing, I could have watched it for hours. A must visit in Zaragoza, easy to reach with public transport just take the tram and then a 10 minute walk

Absolutely amazing place to visit, dined in the restaurant upstairs and had a delicious meal before we toured around for a very reasonable price.
Then we began our tour around the aquarium and it was incredible, such a variety of different fish and aquatic species, was seriously impressed by the space each species had and how up close you could get to each animal, particularly the small turtles that were roaming around and had a tons of space.
Perfect for adults and children alike. Great afternoon or morning out and only a short walk from the towns centre and close to a very large shopping centre with soft play to fill the rest of the day.

I find it unacceptable that among the fish and reptiles they have small monkeys in tiny cages, both because of the suffering it causes these intelligent creatures and because it is unnecessary to have mammals in a river aquarium.

Seeing the crocodiles, Chameleons and Monkeys was incredible. I went early on a Saturday morning and it’s a great time to go as there are a fewer people then.
