- Bfr19610 contributionsInteresting tour led by highly informative guide.This is a fairly long tour that is quite hard on old knees and hips! Both the Cathedral and the Alcazar are beautiful buildings with stunning features, and the tour was greatly enhanced by the excellent commentary full of fascinating historical details. We would fully recommend it.Written 26 March 2025
- gca95f0 contributionsWaste of time, guide terribleMeeting time was 9 am guide rushed in at 9.40 am Mini bus was cold, no heating on as it was a cold day outside The seatbelt didn’t work advised guide he said remind me later. What an attitude. Trip was to include a trip to the olive factory, was told it was closed, no contingency in place, was left in a small village in the cold with nothing to do Second village was told this is the main square so now let’s go for lunch at a Michelin star restaurant. We didn’t get to Ronda until 3pm and had to be back to met the guide Jesus at 5.15. There was no guided tour . when I booked at the office I was told there would be a tour of Ronda. Not worth the money. Sent an email to the company asking for my money back . Didn’t even reply.Written 26 March 2025

This tour is a full day tour due to the distance between Gibraltar and Sevilla but is worth the time and price. The only negative is the amount of walking you need to do from the parking lot to the van pickup station. You have to go through security so be sure to have your passport with you, and no weapons or illegal substances. You will be walking across the airport runway, up some hills and side streets, up stairs, down stairs, and finally to the van that will be your transport for the next hour or so.
The tour goes up the mountain on narrow one way roads and then down to the coast where you can say that you 'kissed' your lover at the end of Europe. Note that Gibraltar is NOT spanish, it is English, but the workers at the restaurants are mostly from Spain and therefore do speak limited English, and mostly Spanish.
On a clear day you can see Morocco and the part of Spain that is on the African continent, we were not there on a clear day, but did have a good view of the city and the harbor with it ships.
There are many sites to see, but the primary one is the Saint Michael's Cave that is lit with bright colorful lighting. You will also be privy to stopping and being greeted by the Barbary Macaques (monkeys) that reside there. Take picture of the Macaques but do not feed or try to pet each as they may nip you and that will mean you will have to get rabies shots and other medical care.
Take your pictures of the mountain from the airport runway, it is the only place you have a full side view of the monument on this tour. The tour does NOT unfortunately take you into any of the gun placement tunnels, and that is the only reason we did not give it five stars.
Our guide is friends with some of the workers and thus we ate at Toni's Fish and Chips; and well the food and beer were within expectations for the Brits and priced accordingly. (Good fish and chips, try it).
Expect to go through Passport inspection on your way back to the tour van, and use the bathrooms in the parking lot. You may need a Euro to do so (many public bathrooms in Spain charge a Euro for cleaning personnel)

The tour was structured in this way:
- departure around 9 am from Seville (during the route the Alberto Guide gave us a lot of information on agriculture, trade, history, geography of Andalusia and Gibraltar in particular);
- arrival in Gibraltar around 12.30;
- free time about 1 hour and a half;
- Guided tour with the local Gibraltar guide in a small van that performed three stops. Initially we stopped at a sort of belvedere where we enjoyed the view of Morocco, then, we visited a natural cave and finally we went to see the small and cute monkeys. All within an hour and a half.
I appreciated the kindness of the guides and their availability (Alberto and Jesus) but most of all the preparation of Alberto.
I would have preferred if we had more time to see the centre of Gibraltar for ourselves, because with just one and a half hours, including lunch to do, it was very little time.
We paid 108€ per person for the day in Gibraltar.

I’ll start with the guide worked really hard on this 12 hour tour. The bus ride was uneventful both ways (most uncomfortable seats, bring a lumbar support if possible- I stashed my backpack behind my back for support). But once in Gibraltar, it was chaotic. Lunch ran over (no fault of the tour operator), but it was unclear where we were going to meet the guide for trip up on the rock. It was a lot of walking, backtracking, & calls by the guide to find out where we needed to be. I give kudos to the guide- she was determined. She kept a large group together, crossing roads safely (even standing out in the street to stop cars for us all to cross) & we eventually found the van operator to go to up the rock.
The trip on the rock was worth the confusion & lots of walking (I got in 15k steps, prob 10K in Gibraltar alone). St. Michael’s cave, the monkeys, the view- all worth it!! Be prepared for a long day & definitely wear comfortable shoes.

I did the one-day tour from Seville to Gibraltar on Monday 18th of November. According to their website the tour was going to last 10 hours (4 on the road by bus and six hours in Gibraltar). We were supposed to leave at 09.00, but we were a bit late and we left at 09.20. Keep in mind that the journey lasts about three hours (including an almost half an hour rest stop), so we arrived at the border at about 12.15. We walked via the airport runway to the main Casemates Square, then we had about an one and half hour break to explore the town by our own. I walked all along Main Street to Trafalgar Cemetery. Then we got on a tourist bus and visited the Europa Point (southernmost part of Gibraltar), St. Michael's Cave (entry included in the price of the tour), where we had the opportunity to see some of the famous monkeys, and finally we had a short stopover at a nearby viewing point to take some photos. We crossed the border to Spain at about 16.15, boarded the bus and arrived at Seville about three hours later (including again a rest stop at the same place).
So in summary, keep in mind that of the whole 10 hours duration of the tour, the journey to Gibraltar and back to Seville lasts about 6 hours and there are only 4 hours to spend in Gibraltar, so there is no time to visit any other sights of the colony (Upper Rock Nature Reserve, Cable Car, Military Tunnels, Windsor Suspension Bridge, Skywalk etc). According to my rough research through internet, there are public transport options (by bus) between Seville and La Linea de la Concepcion (Spanish town at the border), where you can walk, take a public bus or hire a taxi to Gibraltar, but you can't do the entire trip from Seville and back in one day. So Naturanda is your only option if you are staying in Seville and have only one day to spend to visit Gibraltar. But if you can spend more days and want to see all of the sights of the colony, i suggest that you organise the journey from Seville by yourself, using public transport to La Linea de la Concepcion or by renting a private car.

I booked this tour a few months before and paid the full price beforehand after seeing the tour itinerary and what was promised to visit. A day before I received a message that the tour time was changed to start at 10.40am and to end at 9.30pm. For me that was a waste of a morning and arrival too late in Seville searching for dinner but I had no option but to accept as I would have ended up with not going at all as it was too late to book the tour with another company. I am disappointed that I was given no valid explanation as to why this happened other than 'due to organisational matters'. To make matters worse there was traffic on the way and we ultimately spent less time than promised in Gibraltar (close to 4 hours) and ended up missing the Skywalk and Great Siege Tunnels which were promised as part of the excursion by the company I booked (Welcome to Seville). I did not understand why we needed to stop for an extra 15 minute break on the way after having encountered traffic to reduce even more our visiting time. On a positive note I still managed to enjoy this outing but would have expected this company to have handled the situation better.

The pick up on the coach journey were great. When we arrived into Gibraltar, we walked to the bus station where we met the local guide to explore Gibraltar.
After boarding the bus, we travel to our first stop, which was a Cannon, when we had 6 minutes to explore, before getting back on the bus.
Following on from this, we travelled to the caves in the nature reserve where we would also see the monkeys. The caves were really interesting to have a look at and take some photos of, the monkeys were the monkeys. Here we had 22 minutes to explore.
There were a few stops in between these stops and opportunities to fake photographs of a couple of the other interesting sites. Our bus driver was clearly quite knowledgeable of the area and was very humorous. We were a bit disappointed that we are only really explored about half an hour of Gibraltar other than the tourist areas and we’re expecting a little bit more.
After this, we returned to the Main Square, where we had “free time”, where we had Rory’s fish and chips. Which I would not recommend, the fish and chips in England are far better.

The connection bus to do the tour broke down leaving us for over an hour waiting for both your Co and the blands coach Co deciding what to do, Blands sent a man in a pickup to tow the bus to see if it would start! It didn't this was unacceptable we should of had a replacement the minute the driver new there was a fault which was when he turned the bus round and we were in the cave. we new the bus wasn't right the minute we got on it as the driver was revving and thrashing it about. When they did eventually get us another bus to carry on with the trip we were and hour and a half behind schedule which then made it impossible to see the rest of Gibralter I wanted to see the port and the boats but we didn't have time for any of that or a proper lunch. When we got back onto the Naturanda coach the aif con wasn't working so we had to endure 2.5 hours of 32° heat. Our guide Luka tried his best and apologised but both companies should make sure there vehicles are fut for purpose before these tours commence. I paid €119 fid the trip and I feel I've been robbed

Fabulous day with Luca. We were all picked up on time, the bus was very nice and the bus driver was an excellent driver. Luca was so personable and did a terrific job of explaining everything along the way and kept us close to him while getting passports stamped and walking across the border. Once in Gibraltar, we boarded another bus and a congenial local man drove us around to the different AMAZING sites. Looking across the Mediterranean Sea at Africa was something we'll never forget. We were able to see the monkeys after we walked through a beautiful cavern. Luca was with us the entire time, then we were all allowed 2 hours at the end to shop and eat before crossing back over the border. After the bus ride back home, my husband left his phone in the front seat pocket. Mild panic set in but we were able to reach the company at night, they were very kind, the bus driver found the phone and we picked it up the next day before we left Seville. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU who made our day unforgettable.

The tour and the guide were fine but we had bad experience with the bus to Micheal's Cave ( we were waiting more than half an hour to be able to go down to the city centre). On the way back to Seville the air conditioning didn't work at all and we literally melted inside for more than 2 hours as the coach was full and the temperature was almost 30 degrees. We were very disappointed with this tour. Our expectactions were higher as the the previous tour to Jerez and Cadiz was perfect.

Our tour guide, Petra, was excellent. She did a great job of keeping the tour organized and on time. The information she shared with us throughout the tour was engaging and felt very relevant. The reason for only 4 stars is due to the rate at which we experienced things in Gibraltar. For example, we only spent 5-10 minutes at each stop during the bus tour, which didn’t seem like enough time to enjoy the views or take pictures of monkeys. The stop at the limestone cave was longer and was very worth the time we spent there. I think a clear itinerary with times and activities (to choose from) given in advance may have been more helpful.

Hello, I was wondering whether it is possible to stay in Gibraltar and not return back to Seville (taking the trip one way?) If so, is there anything special we must do (Canadian/German passport holder)
