One of the Third Reich’s first concentration camps, Dachau went on to become one of the most feared Nazi sites, imprisoning hundreds of thousands of so-called enemies of the state. Hear the history from your guide as you explore and learn how the site has been turned into the place of remembrance and contemplation that it is today.
Your tour takes in key Dachau sites, such as Appellplatz, which was known as Roll Call Square, and the SS training camp, and hear the history behind each from your guide. Before you leave the memorial site, learn the story of the camp’s liberation, and visit the Memorial to the Unknown Prisoner, inscribed with the words “Never Again.”
