Kit, our guide, was energetic and very knowledgeable. He is an artist and his knowledge of the artists who played a large role in popularizing this area made the tour even more interesting. I highly recommend this 2 hour walking tour that will give you a deeper understanding about the history of Montmartre.

Fantastic show from start to finish. Glitz and glamour amazing costumes from the main cast with stunt skating, contortionist and acrobatic artists interspersed. Dress up in some glad rags order a bottle of something and be taken back to la Belle Époque

TIP the seats are allocated on arrival so get there about 30 minutes ahead of the show in order to give yourself best chance of a good seat

This quirky neighborhood has such an interesting part of Paris history. I’m sorry I forgot my guide’s name but he was originally from England and is currently a professor at the Sorbonne! He really knew this neighborhood and many interesting facts and stories about its history, it’s people and it’s role in becoming part of Paris. It was definitely a lot of walking, uphill, downhill and up again but we stop along the way so no one stretch is too long uphill.

This walking tour was fabulous. What better guide than an artist and Kit was so knowledgeable. Having lived in Montmartre at one time he had history and stories to tell. Who knew an interesting cemetery would be on the tour! We highly recommend this tour while in Paris!

We would never have known where to go or what to see if we hadn't taken this tour....it was filled with interesting facts. The hardest part was hearing the guide....there was a lot of traffic noise. Might have been easier if we had had ear phones.

Tour Guide Kris was FANTASTIC! He and his wife are artists living in Montmartre so he had a bunch of wild and crazy facts & insights which made it fun. For example, a local 60 year old graphitti artist named "Mis.Tic" makes social commentary on the walls and if it meets approval by the Locals it never gets painted over (called getting "beiged") but if it doesn't meet political approval it gets "beiged". The Vincent Van Gough house was interesting but the stories of how Van Gough & others used paints, etc. from what is available on Montmartre during those days was fascinating (especially why he uses so much Blue). Lots of other good stuff (especially waving hello to his friends while going by). A REAL Local Tour by a true French Local. It doesn't get any better than this.

We had a great time walking through this historic district with Kit. He was great at giving information and answering all of our questions. There is so much history here and was nice to get out and walk through the streets. Using a small group was nice as we could hear everything and could ask questions.

Fantastic tour which you never would do/find on your own. A real mixture of history, art, French Revolution... kept myself, wife and teenage son fully engaged. The tour guide Kit (from NYC) was brilliant... a genuine artist who had actually had lived in the area who was knowledgable and so, so enthusiastic. He showed real passion and actually went 30 mins over the allotted 1.5 hours ... well done Kit Brown !

We were in Paris for a week and saved this excursion for the last day. I have to say that we loved Montmartre as it was beautiful and had it own unique history and culture. I would certainly love to spend more time there when we return to Paris. Unfortunately, we didn’t find our tour guide all that good. While pleasant, she only seemed to know the “basics”. Whenever someone would ask her about something they saw she would say, “I don’t know I will have to google it”. While we don’t expect someone to know everything, it was clear that she really just seemed to study only what she was going to show us. Not a reason not to do the tour though as I said Montmartre is a great place with interesting sights to see.

Eugenia was our guide and she made the trip! Worthwhile tour of an older section of Paris with its own history. A fun couple of hours to be had discussing everything from Van Gogh’s home to Davida!
