Overview

Enjoy tastings and bites from nine different purveyors on this Galway food tour—a must for visiting foodies and an experience that’s impossible to arrange independently. Your Franco-Irish guide studied food and wine, and has worked in the industry for more than 15 years: She’ll introduce you to artisan producers even as you sample their wares. Leave with a goodie bag to take home.

What to Expect

Greet your food guru guide outside a gourmet deli and set off through Galway’s charming streets. Enjoy no fewer than nine stops for tastings, comprising enough food to add up to a whole delicious lunch.

As you walk, learn insider tips about where to go and what to eat, and insights into Galway’s thriving food scene. Visit award-winning cafés, restaurants, and stores. Sample fine cheese, Irish breads, and Galway oysters (Saturdays), alongside more international treats like fresh sushi and falafel. Besides plenty of sweet treats, savor a beer tasting at Galway’s oldest pub.

Finally, finish your tour in central Galway, complete with a goodie bag to take home.

I’m sure they will do their best to accommodate you but that part of town is paved in stones and is very uneven. It might be difficult. The sidewalks are very narrow in places as well. There are some steps as well.
