Overview

Explore beyond Dublin city center with this peaceful cruise in Dublin Bay. As you sail between Dublin and either the historic fishing village of Howth or the seaside town of Dun Laoghaire, the boat offers views of the Poolbeg Lighthouse, the Dublin Mountains, and Joyce’s Martello Tower. The cruise is complete with a full bar on board.

What to Expect

This tour sails between Dublin City (departure from Sir John Rogerson’s Quay), Dun Laoghaire’s East Pier, and Howth’s West Pier seasonally seven days a week.

Cruise from the city center in Dublin south to the charming seaside town of Dun Laoghaire. During the journey, see Dublin landmarks including the Poolbeg Lighthouse, Dalkey Island, and the wildlife reserve at Bull Island.

Alternatively, you can sail from Dun Laoghaire to Dublin’s city center, or from the historic fishing village of Howth to Dun Laoghaire. Howth is known for its quality seafood restaurants and for its walking paths along the dramatic sea cliffs.

The boat has a full bar on board for enjoying a drink while cruising by Joyce’s Martello Tower and the Baily Lighthouse.

The cruise ticket also includes a discounted train fare on the DART train that connects Howth and Dun Laoghaire to the Dublin City Center.

Lovely day on the water

We enjoyed our cruise and the opportunity to see Dublin from the water. The ship is basic, not a luxurious experience, but very reasonable and they run on time. We had a gorgeous day and good company on board.
