Dublin Literary Pub Crawl
From US$16.24
Experience Dublin’s love of literature and pubs on this pub crawl. Leave the navigation to your guide as you head down the city’s charming lanes. Stopping into pubs that hold literary significance, listen to anecdotes and facts about local authors, and hear actors bring famous works to life. Purchase some pints and snacks to refuel before participating in a literary-themed pub quiz to test your listening and retention skills.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and group of fellow book and beer lovers at a central location on Dublin’s Duke Street.
Stroll off down city streets, the sights and sounds of which inspired writers such as Brendan Kennelly, Paula Meehan, Eavan Boland, W.B. Yeats, James Joyce, and Samuel Beckett.
Along the way, you’ll pop into pubs with literary significance, where actors will recite lines from famous works, bringing the literature to life. At each stop, feel free to purchase a pint or a snack; you’ll need your stamina for the literary quiz at the conclusion of the tour.
End your evening at your departure point.

A great enjoyable evening

6 of us headed off for a most enjoyable evening, making friends with the other tour takers and Fin and Frank alike! Frank and Fin were fantastic, they set the scene from the beginning, their passion and knowledge is infectious, we have so much heritage...More

Informative, entertaining, exceptional

The highlight of our visit to Dublin was this tour. We paid for a private tour with Colm as the only free night that we had available, the tour wasn’t being offered. Luckily we got hold of Colm who was willing to take us on...More

Very entertaining and informative

They are excellent actors with a LOT of knowledge to share. This was our first night in Dublin after a very long flight...despite of being exhausted, we enjoyed it very much!

Really fun - highly recommend

This was a lot of fun and we learned a lot. The guides/actors knew their stuff, kept the group engaged, and answered all my many questions with good humor.

Loved the performance, but one of the guides was a bit rude

This was a wonderful walking tour throughout the streets and pubs of Dublin. I particularly felt that the stop at Trinity college delving into the brilliance of Oscar Wilde was the best stop of the tour. Admittedly we loved the historical pubs as well. The...More

I won't comment on this eagle-eyed 'professional' guide and her zeal in critiquing another guide so publicly. That's just a question of taste.  When people come into the room before 7pm they are asked to wait at the bar until the room is properly set...More

Im not sure, but I would think it would be okay. I mean I didn't feel obliged to drink in every pub and you would probably buy them a soft drink. However, maybe you could ask the question when you book? I believe you have... More
