Getting to Outlander's filming locations on your own can be tricky. On this tour you can forget about tackling public transit timetables or the hassle and expense of renting a car (and driving on the left). With a Outsider expert guide—and perhaps an extra from the show—see such fictional sites as Castle Leoch and Lallybroch come to life. Enjoy seamless travel between each site and a choice of either Glasgow or Edinburgh pickup/drop-off.
What to Expect
Your tour begins with a pickup in Glasgow or just outside Edinburgh (depending upon which option selected). Meet your guide and settle in for the drive away from the city and into the heart of Outlander country.

Your first stop is Doune Castle, better known to Outlander fans as Castle Leoch (and also a star of Game of Thrones). Next, travel to Falkland, a small Fife town that stood in for Inverness during filming. Carry on to Midhope Castle, which doubled as Lallybroch in the series. As it is a private estate, you may not be able to go inside Midhope; if that's the case, visit Hopetoun House (the home of Outlander's Duke of Sandringham) instead.

Throughout your tour, take in the magnificent Scottish landscape and learn about the the nation's history and culture. Learn a couple of Gaelic sayings from your guide—and enjoy "a wee dram" of Scotch whisky to ease tricky pronunciation. With luck, an extra from the show will join to provide insider secrets about the filming, the cast, and the crew.

Your final stop is Blackness Castle, the filming site for Fort William and some Wentworth scenes. Your tour concludes back at your original departure point.
