3-Day Budget Isle of Skye and the Highlands Tour from Edinburgh
US$303.90
Overview

Spare yourself the expense of car hire and discover the Isle of Skye the affordable way on this convenient 3-day Scottish Highlands coach tour. Besides the ‘winged isle’, visit Loch Ness, Dunkeld, Glen Coe, and a whisky distillery, and enjoy two nights’ shared accommodation along the way. After all, the Highlands need not break the bank.

What to Expect

On day 1, make your way through Macbeth country to Dunkeld with its medieval cathedral. After sampling Highland whisky at a distillery and learning how Scotch is made, travel to Inverness. Then follow the length of Loch Ness to Fort Augustus, home for the night: Look out for the Loch Ness Monster along the way.

Day 2 brings you to the Isle of Skye, known as the ‘winged isle’ or ‘Isle of Mist’. Admire windswept landscapes, rugged coastline, towering mountains, and ruined castles as your guide explains exactly what you’re seeing.

On day 3, say farewell to Loch Ness. Pass Ben Nevis, Glen Coe, and Stirling, scene of many of Scotland’s bloodiest battles. Learn tales of local legends like William Wallace and Robert the Bruce as you return to Edinburgh.
