Rosslyn Chapel, Dunfermline Abbey and Stirling Castle Day Tour from Edinburgh
From US$47.76
Overview
Rosslyn Chapel, Dunfermline Abbey, and Stirling Castle are three of the most impressive medieval monuments near Edinburgh. On this tour, visit them all in one day with ease, and discover Scottish history and legends including the Battle of Bannockburn, the Da Vinci Code, and the real-life Braveheart.
What to Expect
After pickup from a central Edinburgh location, set out on the short drive north to Dunfermline, crossing the famous Forth Road Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival in Dunfermline, enjoy free time to visit Dunfermline Abbey, where legendary Scottish king Robert the Bruce is buried. Nearby, the Battle of Bannockburn visitor center retells the story of Robert the Bruce’s victorious clash with English king Edward II.
Continue to Stirling, where you tour Stirling Castle and take in views from the Wallace Monument and learn about Scotland’s real-life Braveheart from your guide. Finally, visit the Rosslyn Chapel, the real-life setting for Dan Brown’s best-selling novel and movie adaptation, The Da Vinci Code.
Your tour ends with drop-off in central Edinburgh.

Gorgeous tour, fun guide

My mom and I took this tour together, and we both absolutely loved it. Our guide, Lizzie, knew a lot of history, and was very funny and upbeat. Everything ran according to schedule, and it was generally a wonderful, memorable day. Definitely a trip highlight.
