Rosslyn Chapel, Dunfermline Abbey and Stirling Castle Day Tour from Edinburgh
US$47.77
Overview
Rosslyn Chapel, Dunfermline Abbey, and Stirling Castle are three of the most impressive medieval monuments around Edinburgh. On this tour, visit them all in one day, and discover Scottish history and legends including the Battle of Bannockburn, the Da Vinci Code, and the real-life Braveheart.
What to Expect
After pickup from central Edinburgh, set out on the short drive north to Dunfermline, crossing the famous Forth Road Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site. On arrival in Dunfermline, enjoy free time to visit Dunfermline Abbey, where legendary Scottish king Robert the Bruce is buried. Nearby, the Battle of Bannockburn visitor center re-tells the story of Robert the Bruce’s victorious clash with English king Edward II.

Continue to Stirling, where there is time to tour Stirling Castle and take in the views from the Wallace Monument, while you learn about Scotland’s real-life ‘Braveheart’ from your guide. Finally, visit the magnificent Rosslyn Chapel, the real-life setting for Dan Brown’s best-selling novel and movie adaptation, The Da Vinci Code.

Your tour ends back in central Edinburgh.

Great day out

Steven/Stephen B was a very good guide and the day trip was excellent. Would have liked another 15 minutes site seeing in the castle but unfortunately lunch won out.

Very enjoyable day!

We had a great time with Steven B. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. We stopped at the vantage point of the three bridges and I think this could’ve been skipped to give us more time at Stirling Castle. All in all though a great day! Rosslyn...More

Great Tour, Great Guide/Driver

We enjoyed Mark as our very funny and knowledgeable guide/driver! The tour was perfectly paced for several places to visit and we had plenty of time and opportunities to explore on our own or enjoy specific tour guides (Andrew from Stirling Castle).
