Bloody Sunday and Bogside Murals Private Walking Tour
From US$20.15
Overview

On this informative tour, you’ll learn all about Derry’s modern-day history, including the events of the Troubles and their contemporary legacy in the city. Visit the Bogside district, see the site of the Bloody Sunday massacre, view the area’s murals, and—thanks to the flexibility and convenience of a private guide—have the opportunity to personally connect with the city’s complex heritage and legacy.

What to Expect

Meet your guide at the Tower Museum, conveniently located in the heart of Derry. Because this is a private tour, you have the flexibility of selecting a departure time that works best for your itinerary.

Follow your guide to the Bogside district of Derry, remembered as the crucible of Ireland’s modern-day conflict. See the Free Derry Wall, the Bogside murals found across the district, the site of the Bloody Sunday massacre, and other key landmarks in the area.

As you go, your guide will share facts and stories about Derry’s modern-day history, beginning with the partition of Ireland and covering the Battle of the Bogside, Bloody Sunday and its legacy, and other events from the Troubles.

The tour ends at the Bloody Sunday Monument.
