    What to Expect
Your tour begins at 2pm by the King Edward entrance of the British Museum, located on Montague Place. Arrive 10 minutes prior to the tour to allow time to pass through the bag check area.

Once inside the museum’s lofty atrium, you’ll follow the progress of civilisation through a variety of eclectic artefacts. Highlights you’ll visit include the Rosetta Stone, heralded as the beginning of language itself, a two-headed Aztec serpent, the Lewis chessmen, a mechanical solar system, the Parthenon sculptures, a statue of Ramesses II, and the Holy Thorn Reliquary.

Through the tour, your guide provides fascinating historical context that covers everything from the destructive nature of germs, the origin of money, notorious kings and rulers, and how agriculture transformed the world.

Midway through the tour, you’ll have the chance to purchase refreshments and snacks from the museum’s cafe. After 2.5 hours, bid your guide farewell at the museum, opting to continue exploring if you so desire.

I visited first time with guide rossa who studied archeology and he explained fluently the evolution of human history. It was very good experience. Thanks rossa!

We had an excellent experience of our tour with Sam through the British Museum in a way that made historical and art sense and gave us a comprehensive perspective on the museum's contents, within a limited time span and within a limited capacity to see all that that incredible

No one else booked for our time so it ended up being a private tour for us and our baby. I loved how the guide organized the tour into a story with a timeline. It made so much more sense seeing the museum pieces with the context of history than just seeing famous random pieces

Museum is vast. Guide was incredibly knowledgable and much more informative than one of the head sets for a self guided tour. Details about where to meet the guide were lacking but we ultimately made co0ntact. My only negative comment is that while informative and interesting,
