Sobering reminder of the need to learn history
Sep 2020
As a kid, I used to LOVE coming to this museum: informative panels, a massive basement gallery of tanks & other military vehicles, multimedia (i.e. panels, projections), and some special exhibitions. As a young adult, I was much less enthused because it was a near-repeat of what we had learned in History class over the last decade, but not everyone remembers that content. A great place to take your kids.

What a wonderful place! Not only are the collections amazing, the information is detailed and accurate. It also supports veterans, so it is socially responsible as well.

Very cool tanks!
Aug 2020
We visited in August, so there was still restrictions due to COVID, so not the whole museum was open. It was free to visit, so I guess we couldn't complain! We also watched the tank show outside which was pretty cool to see those old tanks in action. I would definitely return here when the whole museum was open as the exhibits looked great!

Museum of Canadian military history
Sep 2019
Lots of military vehicles, aircraft, model ships, many types of guns and other weapons. Some reminders of Canada's horrific past. The invaders of this great land, killed many innocent people who should be its true owners. Shameful British and French colonialists.

Great visit with two nine year olds
Feb 2020
I took my grandson and his friend to visit last month and we had a great time. The boys were already knowledgeable about the two world wars and connected with the exhibits in a powerful way.

A highlight of our trip was when they chatted with a veteran who happened to be there. The boys thanked him for his service and shook his hand. Proud grandparent? You bet.

Great for Young Minds and the Young At Heart
Feb 2020
It was an extremely interesting museum, with incredible real-life examples of war products: planes, tanks, vehicles, amunition and so on. The information and the displays transport you to different times. The incredible layout is intriguing, though sad to realize it's all about war attacks. :( Though this is not a predominant part of Canada's history, we have still been involved and our contribution and involvement deserves a place to be showcased, so that all can see and most importantly remember.

Depressing
Dec 2019
The exhibition showed different war conflicts in which Canada participated. The collection of the military equipment and vehicles was really impressive, but sad thing was that all of them were invented for killing people. As you walked through the museum, you heard the sounds of war, falling bombs, people's voices. It was very depressing.

It was very sad to look at photographs of people who had experienced the war. Undernourished people rescued from concentration camps after World War II , or the picture from the former Yugoslavia, in which you could see a soldier how he was kicking the head of woman lying on the ground.

I felt very sad after visiting of this museum.
