    What to Expect
This unique dining experience begins at the Canadian Wilderness Adventures Desk in the lower level of the Carleton Lodge, a hotel in Whistler Village. Climb into a heated, luxury, 19-passenger snowcat en route to the enchanting Crystal Hut, a cozy, quaint log cabin located an hour away on Crystal Ridge, high atop Blackcomb Mountain at 6,000 feet (1,828 meters).

Enjoy the chef's local interpretation of a traditional fondue dinner. On the menu is cheese fondue (Gruyere, Emmental, and white wine served with a baguette and pickles), fondue chinoise (chicken, beef tenderloin, and assorted vegetables with vegetable broth, served with a variety of dipping sauces), and a fresh-baked fruit pie with real whipped cream.

Along the way to the cabin and during the dining experience itself, take in the alpine colors and panoramic views of the surrounding Coast Mountain Range, as well as the twinkling lights of Whistler Village below.

The evening concludes with a return trip to the Carleton Lodge.

I will be posting 2 reviews for Canadian Wilderness Adventures, because we had 2 trips that were completely different experiences. This review is for the Crystal Hut Fondue, Cat Trip. Despite having been to whistler many times over the years, this was the first time that my

Exhilarating snow cat ride up Blackcomb Mountain to the Crystal Chalet (takes about an hour). Most fun Fondue dinner with entertainment (thanks Randy). The ride back down intersects multiple grooming snow cats while they work.

This was an amazing experience for our family. The views from the mountain are romantic and a beautiful backdrop. My husband and I went on the tour with my older parents and our 3 teenaged kids. None of us had ever been on a snowmobile. My mom, who is not athletic at all and

We had such an amazing evening at the Crystal Hut Fondue from start to finish. The 1 hour CAT ride up the hill was great, with views and very comfortable. We were very lucky to get an almost full moon dog moon and the staff were funny, lovely and informative. The fondue was

Really want to say thank you to Dan (snowcat driver) and Kyle (k2) for helping me with my special evening. Chad squeezed out an awesome (and clean) version of our favorite tenacious D song which really made dinner fun. The ride up and down the mountain is about 45 minutes
