This unique dining experience begins at the Canadian Wilderness Adventures Desk in the lower level of the Carleton Lodge, a hotel in Whistler Village. Climb into a heated, luxury, 19-passenger snowcat en route to the enchanting Crystal Hut, a cozy, quaint log cabin located an hour away on Crystal Ridge, high atop Blackcomb Mountain at 6,000 feet (1,828 meters).
Enjoy the chef's local interpretation of a traditional fondue dinner. On the menu is cheese fondue (Gruyere, Emmental, and white wine served with a baguette and pickles), fondue chinoise (chicken, beef tenderloin, and assorted vegetables with vegetable broth, served with a variety of dipping sauces), and a fresh-baked fruit pie with real whipped cream.
Along the way to the cabin and during the dining experience itself, take in the alpine colors and panoramic views of the surrounding Coast Mountain Range, as well as the twinkling lights of Whistler Village below.
The evening concludes with a return trip to the Carleton Lodge.
