Set off for the Athabasca River from the train station in central Jasper or arrange for pick up from your hotel. An afternoon of relaxing on the river is in store as you and your family sit back and let your guide do the rowing.
Learn about the human and natural history of Jasper National Park from your guide, and stay on the look out for wildlife in their native habitat. Plastic ponchos are provided as some splashes are expected but for the most part, this is a very gentle ride that is enjoyable for all but the very youngest babies.
At the end of the trip you are offered pictures to buy from the photographer who accompanied you as a souvenir of your time on the Athabasca River. Return to your point of departure in Jasper about 2.5 hours from the time you left.
