Highly recommend!
Al was our tour guide and made it so special. Best day of our vacation. We were able to do a little bit of everything we wanted- swam in an underground cave cenote, zip lined, went kayaking, saw monkeys, biked through Mayan ruins. Was a great day.

Amazing Day
Dec 2019 • Couples
This tour really made for an unforgettable experience during our honeymoon. Some places are fun to explore on your own but for our first time in Tulum, this tour really saved a lot of headaches and provided a unique experience we definitely would not have gotten otherwise.

Our tour guide Oscar really maximized the enjoyment of this experience. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging (even after my wife and I veered way off course in our canoe!). He took great quality photos of the two of us that we would not have been able to get otherwise. We also enjoyed the conversations and everything down to the music he played during the car ride.

Well worth it, cannot recommend enough!

Fun filled day outside of Tulum
I spent my first day of my trip touring the jungle, archeological sites and cenotes with Manuel, my very knowledgable guide. He had such passion about the history of the region and the culture of the Mayan people. He also had wonderful energy and we had long talks about travel, culture, & new experiences.

On the tour we began by visiting Coba, the ruins of a Mayan city. We bicycled to the pyramid and then hiked up! Most ruins are off limits so this was a real treat. We then visited a couple of cave cenotes. Finally we visited Punta Laguna, watched the spider monkeys play, took a zipline and canoed across a small lagoon.

The whole day was filled with adventure! A must if you are an active person 🙂 Manuel is also a diving expert with lots of experience in the caves and cenotes.

He also brought me a beer and took me to a traditional lunch. A great host all around!

Absolutely incredible day full of adventure! Frank was our tour guide and he was great. Picked us up from our Airbnb, drove us to the ruins, bike ride into the jungle, climbing coba ruins, visit to the monkey reserve, Mayan ceremony, zip lining across punta laguna, canoeing across the lagoon, dropping down into a cenote, and finally having a traditional Mayan lunch with Frank. What a day! Highly recommend.

Amazing experience
Sep 2019 • Friends
I went on this tour with 2 of my friends whilst visiting Tulum. Oscar was an amazing guide, very funny, thoughtful and great at encouraging us to bring out our adventurous side. The tour was well planned and all the activities were well thought out.
During our trip the weather decided to bless us with a very heavy rainstorm. This should have dampened our experience but Oscar ensured we still had a great time by entertaining us with his banter!
The tour is full of exploring the gorgeous nature, it’s refreshing to hear Oscar talk about his love for the environment and how to protect it.
Thank you so much! It couldn’t have been a better day if you tried!

Incredible Day Tour! Highly recommend!
Mar 2019 • Couples
Highly recommend this tour to travelers who are curious about the history and ecology of Tulum. There is so much Mayan history to absorb and this trip does a great job providing a framework for that story.

Our guide for the day was Al, who was absolutely the best we could have hoped for! Super knowledgeable, accommodating, experienced and with a great sense of humor. Getting to and from and in and out of the locations was all super smooth thanks to Al.

Must be adventure-curious because you spend 7+ hours walking, biking, climbing, zip lining, canoeing, and swimming. Wear closed-toed shoes, bring extra water (though there is some provided), and bring a towel. Don't forget your camera, either.

Coba Ruins is where you will climb one of the only remaining climbable Mayan ruins in Tulum. The view is worth the climb, and the camaraderie up and down the mountain with other travelers is supportive. The Toh birds and Mayan bees were an added bonus of the ruins. You are able to either walk, bike or be carted through the path. Biking is recommended. Walking may take too long in my opinion and being carted throughout seems like a hasty way to take it all in.

The Punta Laguna Monkey Reserve is somewhat off the beaten path. Upon entry, you'll attend a 5-minute shaman blessing from an area elder, giving you luck to experience the natural beauty of the reserve while you are visiting. Truly special. You then walk throughout the jungle, learning of the habitat and keeping an eye out for monkeys, of which we saw several. During this exploration, you'll zipline through trees and canoe across a beautiful lagoon. The PLMR finishes with a dip in a cenote, which you get to through a crack in the earth. Fascinating and refreshing after all of the adventures.

Al took us to lunch where we ate cochinita pibil, which was perfect.

Do not forget to tip your guide!

Awesome!
Jan 2019 • Friends
We did two private tours with Álvaro as our guide. First we did Tulum Ruins and Sac Atun cenote which was great.
Second, we did the Coba Ruins and Punta Laguna which was amazing. It's an action packed all day adventure which was one of the highlights of our trip to Tulum.
Highly recommend Tulum Diving & Travel, they are professional and our guide Alvaro was awesome.
Definitely worth exploring away from the beautiful beaches, the Coba Ruins is definitely worth visiting and unlike in Tulum and other ruins you can still climb the pyramid. It includes cycling, zip-lining, canoeing, rappelling so it's definitely an adventure-filled day.

Best Adventure in Mexico!!!!!! MUST DO THIS TOUR!!!!!!
This tour was hands down one of the most adventurous days I’ve ever had in my entire life! I’m so accustom to having a very relaxed vacation but this time my boyfriend and I decided to switch things up.

We easily found this tour on TA and for the price and everything that was included this was an unbelievable deal!

We weren’t sure if others were doing this tour with us initially because in the email we were told we might be notified within 24 hours of the tour that it’s still on or not due to not enough people or weather.

We began our day around 730AM. We woke up fairly early and sat in the lobby of our hotel and then at 730AM on the dot one of the team members at the hotel told us our tour guides were here to pick us up. From there we met the best guides (Alexis and Oswaldo) Alexis was our actual tour guide and Oswaldo was in training. It was exciting to know as a trainee he was experiencing this exact tour firsthand with us. We made a quick stop at a local gas station to grab coffee and snacks. Even though they had colas, beers and waters in the van I was very glad my boyfriend picked up a gatorade.

We then started our drive to Cobá ruins. It was a very quick drive minus the drizzle here and there but we arrived in under an hour. We exited the van and had the option to use the restrooms prior to beginning our bike ride through the Mayan ruins. Alexis purchased our tickets as it was included in the fare. We entered the ruins and took a short walk up until we arrived at the bike racks. We were able to select the bicycles that were best for us (size, height) there were over 75 options if not more for both children and adults.

The bike ride was swift through an open path only having to avoid other bikers and people walking the path. Not going to lie there were some bumps in the path but what else is expected on a path around Mayan ruins. We stopped at a Mayan playground before proceeding to the Cobá ruins to avoid the crowd. Here we learned about a game they played. The ancient Mayan ballgame was called pitz. Played with a rubber ball, players would attempt to bounce the ball without using their hands through stone hoops attached to the sides of the ball court. (Definitely ask what happens to the losers, you’ll be amazed)

We then finished our ride over to the Cobá ruins where Alexis took many photos of us on the ground and up on the ruins with the view. Nohoch Mul is 137-feet high being the tallest Mayan pyramid. This is definitely not for someone afraid of heights! I was amazed by how easily I made it up and very happy to know they had a rope to hold as we made our way up. It’s highly recommended that you bend over as you walk up.

After Nohoch Mul, we visited Xaibe and learned the history of the Mayan calendar and how shapes play a huge part in their history. Alexis is greatly informative and had an answer to every question we had (and that’s if we had any because I swear he left us speechless).

After returning our bicycles we made our way to the Monkey Reserve Punta Laguna. It was about another 45 minute drive and this is where the Gatorade and water came in handy. We cooled off in the A/C in the van up until we arrived at the Monkey Reserve. We were immediately greeted by another tour guide who helped us around the Reserve. He spoke English, Spanish and Mayan.

We started by viewing a purification ritual by a Mayan priest. This was very beautiful to see and probably even greater if we understood without translation. After that we walked a little way up and due to the rain, the moss on the floor made it a bit slippery to walk. **So definitely wear shoes friendly for all weather.** We put on a harness to ready ourselves for zip lining and kayaked across the lagoon. It was a short ride over but we still managed to get some photos on the water. From there we trekked through the jungle and saw many monkeys and if I’m correct we may have even heard a jaguar miles away.

We walked around for about an hour and came out the other side where we were ready to zip line across the lagoon. I’ve never zip lined across water so this was very cool. It was a short zip across and then we kayaked back over and we were more than ready to visit the cenote.

Once we arrived at the cenote we watched Alexis rappel down into the water. I went next and I truly have to say I did not expect the water to be so cold at first. After a little bit of a swim and letting our bodies get accustom to the temperature we were able to dive and see the bones of past Mayans. Alexis gave my boyfriend and I the option to stay alone in the cenote for some extra time but we were satisfied with everything and ready to eat.

After leaving the cenote we got back to the van and headed over to an awesome local eatery. We had cheese quesadillas, corn tortillas with carnitas and Cochinita pabil. They also had very tasty habanero pepper sauce to pair with everything. There wasn’t anything that we tried that wasn’t less than perfect.

It was about 5PM when we got back to the hotel. I highly recommend requesting Alexis as your tour guide!!!! I would do this tour again without a doubt!

Amazing tour!! Alex was the best tour guide!!
Aug 2018 • Couples
I knew this tour was going to be fun when I booked it but it turned out to be better than expected. Alex was our guide who came to pick us up at our hotel in Tulum at 7:30am. Felt like a VIP experience since my bf and I were the only ones who booked that day, it was awesome! We drove to Coba ruins , biked around which was very nice then climbed to the top of Coba, the view was stunning! We then drove to Punta Laguna , received a blessing from a Mayan shaman before entering the jungle, we hoped on a canoe, walked around the jungle and spotted some monkeys, then ziplinned , and then rippled down into a very cool cenote (got to see skulls and bats). We concluded our day with a very authentic mexican meal and a freshly squeezed mango juice. I was so sad when the tour was over :( i had such a great experience. Thank you to Alex our tour guide who made this tour so special and unforgettable he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional he was great energy all around.Highly recommended
