Chichen Itza Day Trip with Cenote and Valladolid from Tulum
From US$130.00
Overview
Combine two of the most popular activities in the Yucatan on this Chichen Itza tour: visiting Maya ruins and swimming in cenotes. Let a driver take charge of the roughly 3-hour journey from Tulum and see the impressive Chichen Itza ruins with a guide. On the way back to Tulum, stop to cool off at a cenote and enjoy lunch in colonial Valladolid. You’ll have nearly a full day to see a lot without feeling rushed.
What to Expect
After getting picked up from your hotel, start the roughly 3-hour journey to Chichen Itza. Arrive at the archeological site—one of the most important in the Yucatan peninsula and Mesoamerica—and take a guided tour.

See the main buildings while your guide tells you about the Maya-Toltec style. After touring the ruins, hop back on the bus for the approximately 2-hour drive to Valladolid. On the way, stop to cool off at Cenote Dzitnup, where you swim or relax in the cenote cave.

Continue to Valladolid, and enjoy lunch in a colonial building downtown. Enjoy some free time to explore the city before heading back to Tulum. Finish with an evening drop-off at your hotel.

Perfect Day of Exploration

This was a well organized and informative tour. I had two skeptical 13 year olds who by the end of the tour were completely engaged with what Alejandra our tour guide had to say. The tour picked us up promptly and we arrived at Chichen...More

A great way to explore Chichen Itza

We booked the Chichen Itza day trip and had a wonderful time with our hosts. They brought along homemade granola bars, which was superb. I'm glad we went with a tour to Chichen Itza because it can be quite chaotic there. It was pretty easy...More

Perfect day out!

I recommend anyone wanting to see Chichen Itza to book these guys. It’s very professionally run and organised. Our tour guide Mela was just incredible! She was funny, charming and very knowledgable. The tour included a much needed swim in the Cenote after Chichen, then...More

There were none of us on the trip with the tour guide and one driver. The bus could have sat perhaps another 2-3 people and then it would have been full.
