Overview
Explore Mexico’s Caribbean coastline with ease during this convenient full-day excursion, ideal for travelers looking to maximize their stay in the region. Alongside a small group capped at 15, start with a guided tour to the popular Tulum Ruins—early-access ensures a quieter experience at this often crowded attraction—before swimming in a cenote, and visiting Playa del Carmen.
Highlights
    What to Expect
Begin your day with an early-morning pickup from your central Tulum hotel. Head straight for the Tulum Ruins and make the most of your early access to admire the impressive ruins before the tour buses and crowds arrive.

First, visit the ruins on a guided tour, learning more about the ancient Mayan Civilization and the history of the walled city, which was once an important Mayan stronghold. Take in highlights such as the Castle, the Temple of the Frescos, and the House of the Cenote; admire spectacular views along the Caribbean coast; then enjoy free time to explore the ruins independently.

Continue to a Gran cenote—a hidden ‘sinkhole’ revered by the ancient Mayans as a sacred site—and venture underground to explore the beautiful cave and cool off with a swim.

Then, head to the final stop of the day—Playa del Carmen, one of the Yucatan Peninsula’s most popular resort towns. Enjoy free time to hit the beach, stroll around the lively town, or shop for souvenirs, before returning to Tulum.

Back in Tulum, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Let me summarize our trip. Promised: Tulum, Cenote and Playa Del Carmen with box lunch. We get on the bus (which was a nice one) at 5:45 am and handed a small paper bag with a box of juice, bag of Doritos and a single cookie. We are told this is what the company provided for
