It was a good time. First we went to a Lagoon to Snorkel. It was fun, but I wish the water was more clear. There is nothing they could do about that though. The water was extra salty there. We then went to this Cavern...More
A private, chauffeured van picks you up at your hotel to embark on an 8-hour adventure. First, head south toward Tulum, a once-sleepy town in the midst of a massive growth spurt. Disembark to see the ancient ruins and learn about their historical significance in Mayan culture. The remote location atop a bluff overlooking the Caribbean Sea makes this one of the most dramatic archeological sites in the world.
Next stop: Kantun-Chi. The ecological park boasts an underground network of stalactites and stalagmites with two cenotes (sinkholes in the earth that fill with crystal clear water) connected by two natural alleyways. Take a dip in the cool waters, then climb out to prepare for your return trip home.
The tour includes a lunch of traditional foods from the Yucatan peninsula. After a full day of learning about Mayan culture, the van drops you off back at your hotel.

We did the Tulum ruins half-day. I don't do lengthy bimbling tours, I like to get there, get in, see and absorb the good and important stuff, and get out. Hanging around once I've seen it is an underrated negative, especially if we have a...More
