Overview
On this half-day walking tour, you will learn from your guide all about Lucha Libre while enjoying mezcal and guacamole. Experience an unforgettable fight between the heroes (the faces) and the villains (the heels) and discover the delights of one of the most important activities in Mexican Pop Culture. This guide includes a free souvenir (Luchador Mask). Minimum drinking age is 18, but children 3 years old or above can still come on the tour.
Highlights
  • Go with a former luchador: Learn about the sport from an insider
  • Enjoy a mezcal and guacamole tasting before the show
  • Let the luchador guide navigate crowds and the arena for you
  • Admission ticket and souvenir lucha libre mask included
What to Expect
Start the evening at a local pub near the Palace of Fine Arts (Palacio de Bellas Artes) in the heart of downtown Mexico City. With a former luchador as your guide, listen to insider stories about the wrestlers' lives and careers as you enjoy a tasting of mezcal and guacamole. Next, head to the Arena Mexico, often called the “cathedral of lucha libre.” Gain a perspective rarely available to visitors, as you take a tour of the arena. Going with a former luchador may afford you the opportunity to meet the wrestlers before the show. As the fight begins, your guide explains the rules and characters of the sport, which can be confusing without proper context. Since the show ends after dark, the guide navigates public transit or arranges a taxi for you (own expense).

Our tour guide Arturo was friendly, helpful and told us all about lucha libre! Tequila tasting was fun, though I don't think there is much alcohol in the liquor they served. But you can get a beer at the arena! Great time!!

Hi, so sorry to see this question just now... Do not check this account often as I was travelling most of the time... I suppose you won't be requiring an answer anymore? So sorry once again.
