Overview
Explore the rum-infused highlights of Nassau in just a few hours on this walking tour, ideal for a shore excursion or for first-time visitors with limited time. Learn about the Bahamas’ long history of rum making and visit a pirate-themed pub. Fill up on conch fritters, boozy sweets, and rum cocktails. A tour and tasting at John Watling’s Distillery at the historic Buena Vista estate is also included.
What to Expect
Meet your guide at a convenient central location in Nassau to start your tour. Walk between Nassau’s highlights and get your first taste of authentic Caribbean rum at Smuggler’s Beer Garden, a pirate-themed pub on George Street.
Then stop at three more spots to fill up on rum cocktails, conch fritters, rum-infused chocolates, and boozy rum cupcakes. Along the way, explore the streets of Downtown Nassau, see some of the buildings where Bahamian rum runners stored their rum in between smuggle runs, and hear stories about the island’s swashbuckling past.
Visit the historic Buena Vista estate and tour John Watling’s Distillery. Learn about rum making, barrel aging, and see the old-fashioned bottling process. Taste a variety of handcrafted rums, and then end your Nassau tour at the distillery.

Awesome Tour!

Mikey, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered questions. The group ended up being just my daughter and I and yet he didn't seem to mind at all. He kept us moving and made sure we enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended.

Do you mean Watlings instead of Watkins? If so,upon beginning the tour, they will usually pass out a tiny sample of pina colada slush.Actual drinks are available for purchase at the end of the tour in their bar.
