Overview
Navigating St. Thomas' waters by night may be challenging by yourself; this tour allows you to kayak safely after dark through Charlotte Amalie Harbor and around Pirate's Point. Additionally, you'll be paddling a clear-bottom kayak, which allows views of the sea life below, illuminated by the craft's built-in lights.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and group of around 18 people at the Marriott Frenchman's Reef Resort just before nightfall. Grab (or get matched up with) a partner and board the clear-bottom kayak for instructions and to try out some strokes before heading out into St. Thomas' inky waters. The kayak is custom-fitted with a string of LED lights around the glass bottom, allowing views of the marine life passing below.

Paddle toward Pirate's Cove to glimpse sea life that’s more active at night and enjoy the serene bay now that all the frenetic daytime activity has died down. Keep an eye out for stingrays, sea turtles, and even flying fish. Fruit bats, swooping through the air in front of you, are also a common sight. Listen to your guide's commentary on the special ecosystem and history of Charlotte Amalie Harbor as you paddle.

Return to Frenchman's Reef to end your excursion.

Great evening activity

This was great. We saw turtles, fish and coral and even a white stingrays. The kids loved it. Josh and Caesar were great at leading the tour. Bottom of the kayak is clear and you can see the fish beneath you.

Josh is amazing!

We went on a trip with Josh, just three of us. Josh did a great job to introduce all the historical stories and guide us to find various fishes. It was absolutely a unforgettable memory!~

Fun. Also a learning experience.

I'm 67 years old. I did this with my 15 year old granddaughter. We had a great time. Our guides were fantastic. We saw lots of fish and rays. Some of the houses that aren't advisable or noticeable during daylight are quite remarkable at night.

I don't think there is a weight limit. The kayaks are wide and sturdy. The pace is relaxed.
