      Kit boarding lesson
Mark was a fantastic instructor. He was very patient and did an excellent job explaining how to do everything and most importantly what I was doing wrong. I highly recommend the lesson and in particular Mark as an instructor. It was a great experience. I’d live to try it again!!

      Mangrove Tour in Turks
"Mark from Denmark was so knowledgeable of the mangroves and so nice! He towed us out from The marina ...9 paddle boards and one kayak by jet ski! That was fun! Then we toured the mangroves and saw lemon sharks, barracuda, turtles and more! Such a fun and unique educational experience! Highly recommend!!

      Great Experience
This is a great operation. I've kited before, but not for 4 years or so ... was looking for a quick refresh, not a start back at square one. Booking was super easy, really friendly staff on the beach help find a time that worked, and listened to what I hoped to do. Alan is a really great coach, and helped me progress to where I felt I wanted to be. My only problem was my own body, my legs just gave out after an hour and a half! I'll be doing some strength training before next time. will definitely repeat with Kite Provo, thanks!

The Mangrove Island Turtle Tour - Great Experience!
Our experience with Kite Provo was awesome! We participated in a kayak/paddle board eco tour of the Mangroves in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Mark and Antek were amazing - friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. The tour was one of our favorite experiences during our visit to the islands, and we highly recommend Kite Provo for a fun and educational experience in Turks!

KiteProvo - Best Kiteboard lessons, hands down
Thank you KiteProvo!!! I took lessons with KiteProvo a few years ago that got me riding independently. This time I was back for kite foiling lessons. Alan was amazing and in just a couple of lessons had me foiling left and right, upwind and downwind!! So amazing. KiteProvo has the best instructors and all the right equipment to get you up and riding fast.

      Wonderful EcoTour of Mangrove Kay
We took the Eco tour of Mangrove Kay with KiteProvo. I can't recommend it enough. It was a beautiful, serene paddle through the mangroves with our guide, Antic who pointed out all the sea life and shared his wealth of knowledge. Such a wonderful time. Thanks, KiteProvo!

      Great Instructors and great kiting!
I was a mostly self taught kiter and was struggling to reach independence. A friend told me about Kite Provo and Long Bay. Was everything I expected and more. Instructors were really good. Long bay is THE place to learn IMO. And Kite Provo team are really great. Highly recommend the whole package.

A lot of fun to learn
I did a 5 hour package . The first day was 2 hours independent Instruction which was great . After 25 min on beach setting up you get a jet ski ride out far from land but still chest deep water which is so awesome in itself . I got a lot of feedback and assistance the first day to fly the kite , relaunch it with assist and then trial of getting up ( assist with kite ) which I did a few times but couldn’t stay up. The next day the instructor stayed mostly on the jet ski. I was taken even further out and practiced flying the kite and get pulled around as I couldn’t quite touch which was alot of fun. I tried to get on the board myself and control the kite which I couldn’t . I let the instructor know it wasn’t going to work . He helped me a few times . I figured out that I could get on the board and then launch the kite myself with many failed attempts but some good ones. I achieved one full ride up for a bit . I would suggest that the instructor not use the jet ski until the student can get up themselves. It’s very difficult to hear instruction when they are not beside you. I will say I did learn how to launch the kite and untangle the kite myself by the end and could even get up by myself unconventionally . I definitely would want to take more lessons. It’s the perfect place to learn. I had to leave the next day. I’ll have to return for more lessons !!! I think if I had more assistance in the water the second day I would have had more successful rides. TCI is beautiful !!! We will be back

      Beyond all expectations!!!!
I had four sessions this week with Alan, and I can not express how incredible the experience was. He surpassed ever expectation I had and took so much time planning and coordinating the instructions around what weather windows we had this week. He made me feel as if I was his only student all week, which I know was far from the truth. I am already planning my next trip. Thank you so very much, it was an experience I will never forget.

      Stop overthinking and book KiteProvo!
Great teachers, all of them. Great balance of fun and skill-building. Very caring people; they will work with you to meet your goals, needs, dreams etc. including scheduling. Gorgeous setting, perfect for this sport. By the way, I was surprised to find that Kiteboarding is NOT a strength sport and is not very dangerous. It's surprisingly accessible for all ages. 10/10 would recommend!

      Fun Time Learning Something New
Wing boarding was a blast! I've always been interested in kiteboarding, but never really wanted to invest the time in learning on vacation. On this year's trip to Turks, I was looking around and saw Wing Boarding as an alternative at Kite Provo. It boasts that it's easier to get going and actually enjoy some rides in your first lesson. Given that, I was excited to try it. The experience was great! I had a lot of fun out there and my instructor, Allen, was really good. He had great tips for me after each ride and attempt. I got several fun rides in and really enjoyed getting to learn something new. I'll also say I got one heck of a workout - my legs and upper body were feeling it afterwards, but it was well worth it. I highly recommend checking out wing boarding with Kite Provo. I'll be doing it again next time I'm in Turks and probably anywhere else that offers it.

Kite Provo Kiteboarding School is GREAT
We had Jay as the instructor for my 15 year old daughter and myself and we had a great time and learned a lot. We had never done kite boarding before today and we learned enough basic controls of the kite, how to get it out of the water when we crashed it into the water and started to get up on the board. Jay was very patient even when I did not do what he said, my daughter listened so she was his favorite. If we have time we will probably do another lesson. I would highly recommend using the Kite Provo Kiteboarding school. Update: We went back to Turks and Caicos this summer and had Alan as our instructor and he was great, just refreshed us on the skills we learned last year and moved us forward. We had a great time and I do not know how to say this any better but Kite Provo Kiteboarding School is GREAT.

Eco Tour Paddleboarding - a highlight
We loved this. Quiet, calm activity but with a connection to nature. Our guide was Mark. He was easy-going and he clearly loved nature. He was terrific. My husband and I and our two teens were engaged in the scenery and the underwater wildlife. We saw so many turtles! Thank you, Mark! We would absolutely do this again.

Amazing Place to Learn to Kiteboard Especially for Kids
When my 10 year old finished his 5th day of lessons he summed it up by saying "Dad, THIS is the place to learn to kiteboard". I have been kiteboarding for 20 years (started 2003). My wife for 15 years. My two sons, ages 10 and 12, took 5 days of lessons from Alan and Mark. Location: -Amazing, gorgeous shallow location with great lesson environment. The perfect spot to learn. -Wind was 12-20knots every day we were there. Perfect for beginners, and especially kids. Instruction: -Highly experienced, professional instructors (Mark and Alan) -Kind, funny, patient -Felt very comfortable entrusting my kids to them and the location. -While there were other schools we felt this was the best for learning to kite based on our observation. Setup: -Wind is onshore, side onshore. They use a waverunner to take the kite/student upwind 1 kilometer, then give the kite to person taking lesson under supervision of the instructor. -Nothing to hit or run into. Safe. Both kids could still stand up everywhere they kited. -Kite downwind, ski ride back upwind. Repeat. Simple. Safe. Effective. Equipment -Excellent equipment (North, Cabrinha) -Large selection of boards for different size riders We can't wait to go back to the spot as family.

DO NOT BOOK ON TA! We booked the fast-track class on TA and the day of the lesson we received an email from Kite Provo saying they didn't have room in the class and that the booking system with TA wasn't up to date. They offered us another class a few days later, which only a few of us could still make. Then the morning of the second booked class, they messaged saying that there wasn't wind and thus we couldn't attend the lesson. However, I was on the beach just an hour later and there was lot of wind, so that clearly wasn't the issue. I don't know if they just have problems with booking the right number of people for lessons or if something else was going on, but I was very disappointed by our experience (or lack there of).

Kristen, we understand your frustration and would just like to comment on a few things. We organize kiteboarding lessons around the low tide. Tide moves every day so we calculate the exact times of our lessons almost one year out and put all this into our online booking platform on our website. This takes hundreds of hours but serves our customers to show the exact times. Third party software like Trip Advisor and Viator will not integrate with a different time every day. We did reach out to you via Trip Advisor as we are not given your email address. In regards to wind, we do need 12mph to teach a kiteboarding lesson. It is common that someone says, it feels windy when it is blowing like 8mph, when it is still actually not enough. In regards to other lessons, etc. Again back to the tides, an advanced student can go out and kite in higher tides but a beginner cannot. I hope this helps to clarify things. We care very much about the experience of our students and accept nothing but the best. Part of that is scheduling at low tide, which moves every day. See our booking calendars on our website for the exact times.

I had 5 two-hour lessons with the Kite Provo team in early December 2021 as a beginner kite boarder. Kite boarding can have a steep learning curve, especially for older guys like me. With their excellent teaching (and a lot of patience), I got up during the 4th session, and look forward to moving beyond beginner stage. I booked my lessons directly with them through their site.

Here is the thank you note I sent: Dear Chris, Kristen, SJ, Mawi, Astro, and Jerry (and everyone at Kite Provo): Thank you so much for doing a wonderful job helping me struggle through being a beginner kiteboarder. I am so impressed by the quality of your teaching, your patience, kindness, and care in making sure things get done right even with the inevitable chaos all around. I very much look forward to trying to go to the next level as soon as I can.

4 of us were blessed to have kiteboarding lessons with Chris. Our two 17-year-olds and ourselves were ready to conquer, but it's not so easy. However, Chris was a great instructor. It doesn't matter how many times you fly in the sky and screw it up, he will always continue to support you. The best part, he is from my part of the world and moved to where my husband is from later. I felt Chris was common ground for the competition to conquer the kiteboard.
    Great Times!

My instructor was awesome. I had some prior experience with a trainer kite, so we skipped that step and went straight to the larger kite. My instructor was very patient and methodical with his steps of teaching. He gave me all of the tips I needed to get up on the board. I still have some more practicing to do with the larger kite, but my instructor was so great that I feel like I got several lessons all into one lesson. Definitely would recommend these guys. I am 53 years old and was nervous about doing it, but this was well worth it. I now feel hooked and am anxious to get back out there.

Clint, thanks so much for choosing Kite Provo and for the great review! As we like to say, "Our Instructors Make the Difference!" We go to great lengths to find instructors that match our philosophy to take a personal interest in your success. Combining that with well thought lesson plans proven over time since the beginning of the sport, training in the art of communication, and utilizing training aids to accelerate the learning. Hope to see you back again soon!

Great for beginners! Excellent instructor (named SJ) for 3 of us. She moved the fast track class (3 hours) along so that we each got on the board a few times in the last hour (a lot to learn that was all enjoyable before that!). Location was perfect with low tide, warm water, ability to walk out into the water & stay together.

Had a great day with Mario, who made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. The lesson was broken down into bite-sized steps that made kite surfing understandable for me--someone who has not done boarding or kite sports before. I highly recommend Kite Provo and especially Mario.

Our group had a mixed experience with Kite Provo. The 4 of us were split across two instructors, Alan and Nic. The two folks with Alan had a great time--they thought his instruction was clear, he provided good analogies, and when the kite went in the water, he helped get the kite back up (which was challenging in the limited wind conditions we were facing). They generally had fun. The other two folks struggled significantly more. Nic's instruction was more laissez-faire. He gave high level instructions and we spent 80% of the time with our kite in the water--he'd watch us try again and again with little success to get the kite up out of the water. We ended up ending the 3 hour lesson about an hour early to come back the next day. Overall, I would recommend that people request an experienced instructor and I'd recommend Kite Provo to have people focus on the fun parts of kite surfing before they start teaching the extra-hard parts of it--getting the kite out of the water during low wind. Folks who worked with Alan are interested in returning, the other ones are not.

George was terrific and so was the team overall. Very organized from start to finish and friendly as well. George did a great job explaining all the details and than demonstrating how each new skill set worked. I was very pleased with my progress on the course and came back for a second lesson with George and would of done a third if we had the wind that week.

I will defiantly kite with this team again when I'm back on T&C.

Kite Provo was exactly what I hoped it would be!!!! I started on day 1 not knowing a thing and by day 2 was up for my first ride. By day 5... I was having some super fun runs and really enjoying myself. My instructor, SJ, was superb. She was very patient, supportive, fun and by the end of the week... I had learned how to set up my Kite, put it away and everything in between. Can not recommed this place more highly.
