Make your way to Grand Turk's tram station, located near the cruise terminal on the island's southern side. Hop aboard the open-sided tram for an around-the-island tour, traveling all the way to the northern tip and back, over the course of the next several hours.
Listen as your guide provides commentary on the sights, including churches, inns, windmills, and antique cannons. You'll get glimpses of donkeys and wild horses on the way to Cockburn Town, where you can explore on your own.
Back on the tram, proceed past the National Building and Her Majesty's Prison—great examples of colonial architecture—and then head for the Grand Turk Lighthouse on the island's northern tip. Pass the natural salt ponds, now acting as a nesting ground for the local flamingos, and learn about their importance in Grand Turk's history and economy.
Your comprehensive tour ends back at the tram station.
