About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 653alanf0 contributionsDo it, you need to..A fantastic opportunity to visit the birthplace and resting place of Bob Marley. The drive up to Nine Mile is ‘interesting’. The tour was excellent, lots of good information and a wee bit of live music half way round. Not going to say too much, but this might not suit folk who have an issue with smoking, just go with the flow and enjoy. Actually found the experience to be quite moving, left Nine Mile feeling hopeful and positive.Written 14 March 2024
- U6174WFJM0 contributionsIt's an 11 hour day, so get ready for that. The Falls fantastic. You stop enroute to buy shoes and phone protection. It's a MUST. Shoes were $10. Lunch. Lovely setting by the beach. Chicken and rice/salad. Fruit punch. Then 1hr 30mins up to Nine Mile, steep winding road, pot holed. Then, it is quite intimidating arrival, ushered into a den where marijuana items are offered to you whilst seated on a dirt step. Then, across the road to the Bob Marley tour. Make sure you take lots of tip money as in at least THREE places you'll be hassled to tip. The band for a few songs, the priest, when he takes two minutes to read a sermon in a chapel, and the guide who will stand with his hand out. Then at least a 2 hour drive back to Montego Bay.Written 12 March 2024
- trudie f0 contributionsAnother off our tick box list!A well organised tour - collected on time and a fabulous informative journey to Nine Mile with Copely who navigated the tricky roads with real skill. It was great to see more of the island as until today have only experienced the coastline - such a lush green country. Fantastic to hear the full lifestory of Bob Marley and to experience the areas where he gained his inspiration.Written 2 March 2024
- colonelsanders18900 contributionsAwful managementThey changed the date of my tour without asking, and I tried to tell them that I couldn’t go the day they changed it to and I never received a replyWritten 1 March 2024
- Gythorpe0 contributionsBob Marley village of 9 miles tour.Trip booked through Tui on site at the hotel. Cheaper than on-line before we left the UK. Picked up at the hotel lobby at 08:30 & returned at 14:15. Includes a lunch of jerk chicken & rice. Paid $176 us dollars for two adults. Takes around an hour to reach the village from Runaway bay, our bus guide, Tanya, was excellent, stopping periodically to inform about certain places / plants etc along the way, also taught the passengers to speak patois! Hilarious. George the driver was the same, true team work & worth every cent. Arrival at the village has outside stalls & sellers of all forms of trinkets & Ganja for those who partake, incuding Ganja homemade brownies amongst other forms. Be prepared to climb steps, slopes and paths before reaching the top where Marley lies in state. There are levels you can rest, buy drinks, gifts & restrooms, though be mindful you must be fully mobile. Another guide will then take you through the different sites, explaining every step and singing the songs Marley wrote in relation to the place you stand. Our Rastafarian guide was named Benjamin & his knowledge is powerful, as a die hard Marley fan for over 40 years, he really knew his stuff. The last stop is the mausoleum high above 9 miles, a dollar candle can be purchased to lite as a mark of respect, the dollar goes towards the local school for books etc. A whole afternoon of enjoyment, tiring but worth every second. Would i visit Jamaica again? Dunno.... but nine miles i'd go again in a heartbeat. The Rastarfarian community are beautiful welcoming people and a full credit to the village of nine miles & beyond. ONE LOVE! ♡♡Written 28 February 2024
- Scenic535438821440 contributionsGreat time at Nine Mile yourClive made the Nine Mile tour exciting. He provided a wealth of information along the way and we enjoyed our ride and time with him. I recommend this tour highly. You will not be disappointed. The Bob Marley tour with Captain Crazy was wonderful as well. You will learn great things about Bob Marley and family.Written 15 February 2024
- ferchris20170 contributionsYS falls & Black river boat safariBoth were great tours. Enjoyed the Black River Safari. The boat operator had such great humour that I could have lived on that boat forever. He kept us overwhelmingly entertained! We laughed so much. Crocodile sightings were great & amazing. Thank you for a great boat tour.Written 11 February 2024
- Excursion187626991390 contributionsDon't miss it, well worth the costVery happy with the whole day and would recommend it. Initially, quite a long drive (from Negril) but it gave us chance to see some of the countryside. The boat trip up the river was interesting with the chance to see the various crocodiles in their natural habitat. They are clearly quite use to seeing all of the boats on the river and seemed quite docile but definitely would not risk a dip in the water with them. The pilot/guide on the boat was very informative and entertaining, with a lunch at the end of the trip which was more than adequate. After lunch we were then taken to the falls which was very pleasant. Due to my wife not walking very well, we did not walk fully up the falls or swim in the pools. Nevertheless, all the other guests there seeming to be fully enjoying themselves, including a rope swing and some paid extra for the zipline. Everyone on our minibus back to Negril said they had a good time but I would warn everyone that the standard of driving in Jamaica leaves a lot to be desired and that included our driver, to a lesser degree.Written 6 February 2024
- Vacation660899395070 contributionsGotta Go!A humbling experience visiting Bob Marley's home village and grave. Stunning drive in fabulous countryside. Eccentric guide I will always remember with a smileWritten 3 February 2024
- keithf3770 contributionsMust do!The experience was awesome, and I feel like everyone should do this if you are in Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. The only issue I had was our pickup time was 8:55am, and the driver didn't pick us up until 10:05am. Other than that, the driver was amazing and he navigated the roads like a pro. The trip is about an hour up the mountains, which can be quite scary when cars are coming in the other direction.Written 2 February 2024
- R5102GGbilla0 contributionsA worthwhile experience in JamaicaThe Bob Marley tour was excellent. I enjoyed the tour of the house, church, mausoleums, and other buildings. But the ride out there from Montego Bay and back was also very interesting: the scenery, homes, buildings, people, etc. Copely did an outstanding job, provided us with lots of history, culture and other information. He is very personable, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. Overall: highly recommended.Written 22 January 2024
- omaddy770 contributionsWorst tour everI knew very little about Bob Marley and was excited to learn, but did not. Felt they were more concerned about selling you weed than anything. Perhaps a different guide would have been better. We had Captain Crazy and his name says it all. Man was too stoned to even understand. Except he was clear to let you know you had to tip. Tops my worst tour ever listWritten 6 January 2024
- CanadaMama1110 contributionsCrocodiles and Waterfalls and another Perspective on JamaicaThe River Safari was alot of fun and the Guide provided lots of interesting facts about the ecosystem of the river. Yes we saw huge crocodiles! Also many different bird ans mangrove forests. Trip was about 45 minutes at a relaxed pace. YS Falls were beautiful and it was nice to drive up into the mountains and through small towns and see how the average Jamaican lives. Lunch (jerk chicken) was included and the falls did not disappoint. Our guide kept our phones dry for us and took lots of pictures, they are very careful and make the activity as safe as possible. Highly recommend this activity!Written 26 December 2023
- Hendrietd0 contributionsGreat experienceIt was awesome and authentic experience. We had enjoyed every minute of the trip exploring the island and tasting local food. Warmly recommend to choose this trip.Written 18 December 2023
- goinallover_100 contributionsThe Bob Marley Mecca. This is one of the best trips we booked. While it was a long trip to his mountain home where he was born and then buried, it was worth the trip. Jermaine Campbell, our driver, was on time and he was most entertaining and knowledgeable about Jamaica and Bob Marley. His jovial nature and his narration on Jamaica and the music legend made the ride seem a little shorter. Also, I didn't know or expect persons could smoke marijuana at the venue, but it's encouraged while there (and yes, it's legal and sold in Jamaica for personal use). Bob Marley's tomb is enclosed in a crypt next to his mother's, and thankfully you cannot take photos or videos of the inside of either one (so they can continue to rest in peace). There are many staircases and an incline to get to his final resting place, so be prepared to climb up. Overall, a peaceful nature reserve up in the mountains, save for the live music played for visitors, honouring his legacy. Take some money to tip the guide and for lunch, if you want some. Good idea to take water, but be warned there is one pit stop/bathroom break before the one and a half hour drive up into the mountains without stopping. The trip was well worth it.Written 10 December 2023

This one was cool! Got picked up on time and greeted by our guide for the day Marlon. And to be honest, I think he was the best tour guide I have ever had. He was personable, engaging, knowledgeable, and just down right hilarious. Pretty long drive, maybe 2 hours total between pickups a rest stop and convenient store run. But Marlon made the time fly by, learning everybody by name, what they do, where you’re from. And just great information of Jamaica! Definitely learned a lot about the culture and land. First stop was the Blue Hole, were you’ll have a couple lifeguards/guides lead you though the activities. Wow was this exhilarating! All the jumps are scarier than they look. But I’m so happy I took the plunge off every one of them. One thing I wasn’t prepared for is how deep you sink when the pressure of the waterfalls is with you. I’m a pretty confident swimmer, but i can see why most people opted for the life jacket. After this portion of the day we went off to lunch, it was okay. Wasn’t crazy impressed, but not bad at all. Then Straight to Dunns River falls. This was impressive, our tour guide with this was also very friendly and kept the laughs going. The climb wasn’t as difficult as I thought it may be, but does seem like it could be dangerous. Definitely watch your steps. At the end of this tour, the group of strangers I arrived with felt like friends. Helping each other hand in hand make it to the top. Pretty cool! Then back on the bus we went with Marlon to greet us. A little Jamaica trivia on the way home of all the interesting information he tought us earlier. But I think he knew is was long day and he turned the music down and most people nodded off on the way home. This was a fun full day. But definitely a full day. From my pick up to drop off time it took 11 hours. So be ready! Over all I’m so happy we did this, all cool experiences!

Fantastic day out, the driver Marlon kept us amused all day and shared a lot of his knowledge with us whilst driving us around.
Great guides at both venues, taking great care of us and giving us every opportunity to enjoy the experiences. They had us jumping of waterfalls and swings into surprisingly warm water at The Blue Hole and climbing upstream over rocks and through pools at Dunn’s River. Was easy to avoid jumping into pools if you didn’t want to and several exit points at Dunn’s River for anyone finding the climb too tough.
Good food at the lunch stop Jerk Hut (not too hot as I’m not keen on spicy food). Shopping opportunity on route with reasonable prices including water shoes and waterproof phone cases (credit cards accepted at both). You only really need cash for tips.
Amazing day, not to be missed.

The Blue Hole/Secret Falls experience is a must! My family and I enjoyed it very much! We also enjoyed Dunn’s River Falls, I just wish we were in a smaller group. It felt like it took longer with all the people and photo stops. Other than that great climb!!
Our driver/host Garfield was absolutely amazing. His knowledge and information provided made the drive feel not as long! He was pleasant funny and engaging. The lunch stop was a good pick and everything we sampled was delicious!

Not what I expected. Forced to hold hands with strangers and water was dirty. View was pretty but giving poor rating for too pushy for tips. And had walk through maze of vendors who will grab you. And top of it vendors will make racist remark. Why would I ever buy over priced items from ppl who are racist to you.

With hotel accommodation pickup/drop-off, it made travelling to the excursion easy and something to not worry about. Make sure to confirm with the tour operator beforehand.
Our driver Ian and guide Marlon were awesome in presenting Jamaica well! They are funny and make sure you are accounted for! They brought the energy on the trip as the drive is long. You start the journey at Blue Hole and have an amazing time doing jumps right near a waterfall. Although you have to pay for lunch, it's well worth it. You end your day at Dunn's Fall River, which make sure you bring water shoes and a waterproof case! Beware the craft market (it was more stressful than the actual river climb haha). Overall, you will be tired but accomplished after doing these excursions! I have included some pics, but it doesn't do it justice. I would definitely recommend anyone to book with them and do this if you come to Jamaica!

Dunns River was amazing! It was busy but still didn’t notice all the people. Blue Hole was very fun also and had a “tranquil” feeling to it! Our shuttle driver Kirk was amazing! He took care of us the whole time was very knowledgeable about what we were doing and gave advice(ie like if we wanted our phones for photos or told us we have the option to purchase the photos at the locations). I want to bring my kids back to Jamaica and do this tour again!

Brilliant day. We arrived at Dunn’s River first after a mini bus ride where Marlon gave us the interesting facts about Jamaica. Be warned you will be quizzed later so listen!
Dunn’s river was an experience. Some parts were hard but everyone helped each other up the waterfall to the top. My 8 year old daughter managed it.
We then stopped for some shopping before lunch. Lunch isn’t included. The food was good.
After lunch we headed to the waterfalls that you jump into which included a jump and swing into deep natural pools.
The day was well worth it. I would definitely recommend this.
The water shoes are a must to be safe. This would be very difficult without these. Also a waterproof holder for your phone. You can get these on route. $10 for the shoes and similar cost for the phone holder.

Our tour guide Marlon was amazing and the experience of jumping off the cliffs at the secret falls and the blue hole was so much fun. Dunns river falls was a great experience and a beautiful view while climbing up it. It was very tiring but it was well worth it.

I had a great time and learned so much about Jamaica thanks to our amazing tour guide. He told us great stories while bringing us to breath taking sites on the island. Blue Hole was mystical and Dunns River was beyond fun. After a day of adventure we went to a local restaurant and had an amazing seafood luncheon. I was so glad to experience all this within my budget, If I could I would do it all again. Thank you again to our amazing tour guide on this trip, it was made so much better with him.

If you’re going on this excursion, PLEASE REQUEST MARLON! He was the absolute best to me and my boyfriend. Catered to us the entire day and taught us so much about the island. He genuinely loves what he does. Blue hole & Dunns River was absolutely beautiful. A little scary if you’re a non swimmer like me but the lifeguards definitely protect you.
