About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 653alanf0 contributionsDo it, you need to..A fantastic opportunity to visit the birthplace and resting place of Bob Marley. The drive up to Nine Mile is ‘interesting’. The tour was excellent, lots of good information and a wee bit of live music half way round. Not going to say too much, but this might not suit folk who have an issue with smoking, just go with the flow and enjoy. Actually found the experience to be quite moving, left Nine Mile feeling hopeful and positive.Written 14 March 2024
- U6174WFJM0 contributionsIt's an 11 hour day, so get ready for that. The Falls fantastic. You stop enroute to buy shoes and phone protection. It's a MUST. Shoes were $10. Lunch. Lovely setting by the beach. Chicken and rice/salad. Fruit punch. Then 1hr 30mins up to Nine Mile, steep winding road, pot holed. Then, it is quite intimidating arrival, ushered into a den where marijuana items are offered to you whilst seated on a dirt step. Then, across the road to the Bob Marley tour. Make sure you take lots of tip money as in at least THREE places you'll be hassled to tip. The band for a few songs, the priest, when he takes two minutes to read a sermon in a chapel, and the guide who will stand with his hand out. Then at least a 2 hour drive back to Montego Bay.Written 12 March 2024
- trudie f0 contributionsAnother off our tick box list!A well organised tour - collected on time and a fabulous informative journey to Nine Mile with Copely who navigated the tricky roads with real skill. It was great to see more of the island as until today have only experienced the coastline - such a lush green country. Fantastic to hear the full lifestory of Bob Marley and to experience the areas where he gained his inspiration.Written 2 March 2024

- Gythorpe0 contributionsBob Marley village of 9 miles tour.Trip booked through Tui on site at the hotel. Cheaper than on-line before we left the UK. Picked up at the hotel lobby at 08:30 & returned at 14:15. Includes a lunch of jerk chicken & rice. Paid $176 us dollars for two adults. Takes around an hour to reach the village from Runaway bay, our bus guide, Tanya, was excellent, stopping periodically to inform about certain places / plants etc along the way, also taught the passengers to speak patois! Hilarious. George the driver was the same, true team work & worth every cent. Arrival at the village has outside stalls & sellers of all forms of trinkets & Ganja for those who partake, incuding Ganja homemade brownies amongst other forms. Be prepared to climb steps, slopes and paths before reaching the top where Marley lies in state. There are levels you can rest, buy drinks, gifts & restrooms, though be mindful you must be fully mobile. Another guide will then take you through the different sites, explaining every step and singing the songs Marley wrote in relation to the place you stand. Our Rastafarian guide was named Benjamin & his knowledge is powerful, as a die hard Marley fan for over 40 years, he really knew his stuff. The last stop is the mausoleum high above 9 miles, a dollar candle can be purchased to lite as a mark of respect, the dollar goes towards the local school for books etc. A whole afternoon of enjoyment, tiring but worth every second. Would i visit Jamaica again? Dunno.... but nine miles i'd go again in a heartbeat. The Rastarfarian community are beautiful welcoming people and a full credit to the village of nine miles & beyond. ONE LOVE! ♡♡Written 28 February 2024
- Scenic535438821440 contributionsGreat time at Nine Mile yourClive made the Nine Mile tour exciting. He provided a wealth of information along the way and we enjoyed our ride and time with him. I recommend this tour highly. You will not be disappointed. The Bob Marley tour with Captain Crazy was wonderful as well. You will learn great things about Bob Marley and family.Written 15 February 2024
- ferchris20170 contributionsYS falls & Black river boat safariBoth were great tours. Enjoyed the Black River Safari. The boat operator had such great humour that I could have lived on that boat forever. He kept us overwhelmingly entertained! We laughed so much. Crocodile sightings were great & amazing. Thank you for a great boat tour.Written 11 February 2024
- Excursion187626991390 contributionsDon't miss it, well worth the costVery happy with the whole day and would recommend it. Initially, quite a long drive (from Negril) but it gave us chance to see some of the countryside. The boat trip up the river was interesting with the chance to see the various crocodiles in their natural habitat. They are clearly quite use to seeing all of the boats on the river and seemed quite docile but definitely would not risk a dip in the water with them. The pilot/guide on the boat was very informative and entertaining, with a lunch at the end of the trip which was more than adequate. After lunch we were then taken to the falls which was very pleasant. Due to my wife not walking very well, we did not walk fully up the falls or swim in the pools. Nevertheless, all the other guests there seeming to be fully enjoying themselves, including a rope swing and some paid extra for the zipline. Everyone on our minibus back to Negril said they had a good time but I would warn everyone that the standard of driving in Jamaica leaves a lot to be desired and that included our driver, to a lesser degree.Written 6 February 2024
- Vacation660899395070 contributionsGotta Go!A humbling experience visiting Bob Marley's home village and grave. Stunning drive in fabulous countryside. Eccentric guide I will always remember with a smileWritten 3 February 2024
- keithf3770 contributionsMust do!The experience was awesome, and I feel like everyone should do this if you are in Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. The only issue I had was our pickup time was 8:55am, and the driver didn't pick us up until 10:05am. Other than that, the driver was amazing and he navigated the roads like a pro. The trip is about an hour up the mountains, which can be quite scary when cars are coming in the other direction.Written 2 February 2024
- R5102GGbilla0 contributionsA worthwhile experience in JamaicaThe Bob Marley tour was excellent. I enjoyed the tour of the house, church, mausoleums, and other buildings. But the ride out there from Montego Bay and back was also very interesting: the scenery, homes, buildings, people, etc. Copely did an outstanding job, provided us with lots of history, culture and other information. He is very personable, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. Overall: highly recommended.Written 22 January 2024
- omaddy770 contributionsWorst tour everI knew very little about Bob Marley and was excited to learn, but did not. Felt they were more concerned about selling you weed than anything. Perhaps a different guide would have been better. We had Captain Crazy and his name says it all. Man was too stoned to even understand. Except he was clear to let you know you had to tip. Tops my worst tour ever listWritten 6 January 2024
- CanadaMama1110 contributionsCrocodiles and Waterfalls and another Perspective on JamaicaThe River Safari was alot of fun and the Guide provided lots of interesting facts about the ecosystem of the river. Yes we saw huge crocodiles! Also many different bird ans mangrove forests. Trip was about 45 minutes at a relaxed pace. YS Falls were beautiful and it was nice to drive up into the mountains and through small towns and see how the average Jamaican lives. Lunch (jerk chicken) was included and the falls did not disappoint. Our guide kept our phones dry for us and took lots of pictures, they are very careful and make the activity as safe as possible. Highly recommend this activity!Written 26 December 2023
- Hendrietd0 contributionsGreat experienceIt was awesome and authentic experience. We had enjoyed every minute of the trip exploring the island and tasting local food. Warmly recommend to choose this trip.Written 18 December 2023
- goinallover_100 contributionsThe Bob Marley Mecca. This is one of the best trips we booked. While it was a long trip to his mountain home where he was born and then buried, it was worth the trip. Jermaine Campbell, our driver, was on time and he was most entertaining and knowledgeable about Jamaica and Bob Marley. His jovial nature and his narration on Jamaica and the music legend made the ride seem a little shorter. Also, I didn't know or expect persons could smoke marijuana at the venue, but it's encouraged while there (and yes, it's legal and sold in Jamaica for personal use). Bob Marley's tomb is enclosed in a crypt next to his mother's, and thankfully you cannot take photos or videos of the inside of either one (so they can continue to rest in peace). There are many staircases and an incline to get to his final resting place, so be prepared to climb up. Overall, a peaceful nature reserve up in the mountains, save for the live music played for visitors, honouring his legacy. Take some money to tip the guide and for lunch, if you want some. Good idea to take water, but be warned there is one pit stop/bathroom break before the one and a half hour drive up into the mountains without stopping. The trip was well worth it.Written 10 December 2023

The best part of our trip was our tour guide, Garfield. He picked us up from our resort and the whole ride he explained different areas of Jamaica. Once we arrived he made sure we had everything we needed and that we were safe. There were no real lines at Dunn’s River so we were able to get to climbing right away. What a beautiful way to connect with family. People with balance issues, leg injuries and back problems should not attempt the climb. They can enjoy the falls at the bottom on the beach. The Blue Hole was absolutely breath taking. The water is so refreshing and the jumps are Exhilarating. Do not recommend jumping for people that can not swim since the currents are very strong. However you can sit in the water and the jumpers.

Pickup was on time. Marlin was a great knowledge tour guide and made the entire day fun! We absolutely loved the Blue Hole & Secret Falls. 3 adults ranging from 22 - 50 all jumped from both levels. Enjoyed it so much we jumped multiple times at each spot. So refreshing and an adrenaline rush. Dunn River Falls was ok but to commercialized for us. Too many people you couldn’t enjoy yourself. It’s definitely a must trip when in Jamaica.

Went to Dunns River Falls i with a large group. There is a guide who guides you up holding hands in a single file line which is at time difficult because you are discouraged to stop and rest and easily distracted by so many people around you.
Although beautiful, this place is very hazardous and you have to be careful. I ended up slipping on a large flat and inviting rock which looked perfectly fine to step on. Be very careful with the rocks that have brown stuff on it. It’s slim and slippery. They say they scrub the rocks but don’t trust it.
I fell hard on to my bottom and then slammed my left shoulder which after 4 weeks still hurts very badly. I plan to get an MRI soon. I did have an X-ray when I returned home which was 4 days after the injury and it’s not broken so I’m glad of that but a rotator tear could be just as bad.
So please precede with extreme caution and go slow no matter the pace of anyone else. And if you feel something is off then get off. I looked at the steepness just a few minutes before falling and commented to myself how dangerous is looked.
I fell after the first exit…should’ve taken it. Please be careful, it’s a dangerous place that they’ve painted to be safer than it truly is.
Safe travels!

An excellent day away from the resort. The staff at Blue Hole were AMAZING! They took so many pictures for us that fully captured the day. Blue hole was not crowded and was truly an adventure. Dunn's Falls was really nice and is a must see for any first time visitor, but something we would not have done again had we not been with our kids who ad never seen it.
Two reasons that this is not a 5* review. First, our drive was just okay, he was not deeply engaging and just seemed focused on getting us from point A to point B. Nothing wrong with that, but we could have used some direction - specifically at Dunn's where he just let us walk in - didn't tell us to find a guide or anything. The second part was that when we stopped for lunch, the bill, when converted J$ in to USD, was about double what is should have been. I showed the cashier the math and she said that I could pay it or leave....Our driver didn't step in as he should have an resolved the issue. Lastly, our guide didn't wear his mask after he picked us up from the hotel. This was not a huge issue for us as we are all vax'd, but he didn't ask, just took it off.
Regardless of that experience - the day was really terrific and secret falls and Blue Hole were totally worth it.

A small bus with about 15 people picked us up promptly at the hotel. Our driver Garfield was awesome. He gave us a lot of Jamaica history facts in route to ocho rios. Once we arrived we were quickly transitioned to our next guide who took us to the blue hole. The guide was awesome also. He keeps your small group together and organized. The blue hole is pretty much a beautiful river, You navigate to a series of rope swings. You use these ropes to jump from rocks into the river. Once you have done this you navigate to a cliff and you jump from it into the river and swim over to the shore. You have a choice to wear a life jacket or not. Make sure to wear water shoes. On your way to Dunns river you stop off at a restaurant for an authentic Jamaican meal. It’s mostly only the choice of jerk chicken. Once you have finished eating you go to Dunns river. Dunns river is a huge water fall that is basically a 900 foot incline from the sea. You start off at the sea and climb up these rocks through the waterfall. It takes about 30 -45 minutes. You stay with your group. It was a little challenging, but fun. We really enjoyed it. I would recommend this trip.

The location itself was amazing but Pedro, our guide, was SO much fun. Also, Curtis AKA Party Man was our videographer and made sure he got us laughing. Definitely would recommend this to anyone. The first part of the climb was a tad strenuous but definitely not super difficult. Water was crisp and beautiful.

Our tour guide was great and this is the safest, most cost effective way to see Dunn’s River Falls and the Blue Hole. Admission to both are included, unlike regular taxi drivers that want you to go with them. By having advanced tickets through this guide service, you don’t have to wait in line and you get to the attractions right away. My teens loved this trip, as did we. If we vacation in Montego Bay again, we will for sure use SNL for any excursions.

This trip was so fun! Our driver Marlon Kennedy was very nice and made the tour fun without being OVERLY energized. I enjoyed how it was only 10 people total for our trip, it made things so way faster! Bring a towel & cash. He stopped to let you get swim-shoes and a waterproof phone case if you needed. The attractions were wonderful, again—cash if you want to buy stuff and tip the excursion hosts. Money well spent to do all three locations and lunch!

We did blue hole. secret falls and Dunns River all in one day! It’s a lot for one day but it’s so worth every second and Penny. The views are absolutely breathtaking. Make sure you bring sunscreen, a towel, cash and water shoes. I am well traveled and I’ve never seen Falls like this. We stayed in Montego Bay which was about an hour and a half each direction but the drive is beautiful and you can get lots of great views on the way. Blue hole is quite a hike but it’s at your own pace and the guys are extremely nice. We had Kemmy and nicki who are so fun and the best! Nikki literally took photos and video the entire time using our phone so we had the full experience. There are amazing places you can jump off from, swim, get a beverage and also have your friend give you a mud bath. Dunns River is definitely an attraction place to see but there’s nothing like it the falls literally go all the way down to the ocean and you can hike them up all the way to the top. It is almost like a natural amusement park. We also did this tour with mesmerizing tours which I highly recommend. We had originally booked us with SNL but I had to fight for a refund and it was a total nightmare not to mention they took days to respond or mesmerizing responded in minutes. Booking through the right company is very important to ensure you have the perfect trip

Tour guide/driver Garfield was great! He shared good info about the country on the way. Enjoyed the tour. Started at blue hole then secret falls which is essentially at the same place. The guides at this site were very helpful. I can’t swim and I was nervous about jumping in even with a life jacket but the guide at blue hole was awesome and stayed with me the whole time. They take professional photos at blue hole for $20. They stop at a gift shop on the way but there are locals selling water shoes and other handmade gift items and clothing/bags along the tour. The lunch prices range from 20-29$ at the designated lunch spot. The food was good. Dunn river falls was nice and there’s no jumping into the water and it’s not more than waist deep for someone 5’2. They take professional photos and charge $40. There is also an area with local vendors that you are required to walk through before leaving. Overall it was a nice trip. I was picked up at 830a in Montego Bay and arrived back at 545pm.
