Seaworld Explorer Semi-Submarine

Select Date and Travellers
2 travellers
Now for something completely different! This air-conditioned vessel remains above sea level at all times, while its hull - at 5 feet below the surface - provides spectacular viewing of the Arashi Coral Reef, abundant sea life and the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean, the famous WWII German shipwreck, "The Antilla".
  • 90-minute semi-submarine reef tour fits easily into an Aruba itinerary
  • Get views of Aruba's underwater highlights without getting wet
  • Listen to historical and ecological commentary from a guide
  • Convenient central departure point
What to Expect
Hop aboard a transfer boat departing from Oranjestad's De Palm Pie to be taken out to the Seaworld Explorer. Meet your guide, who will share historical and ecological facts about the sights as you travel. With dry clothing, you get views from the vessel's glassed-in, submerged viewing space of Arashi reef, teeming with tropical fish and other marine life. In contrast to snorkeling, during the submarine tour you can hear insightful commentary from your guide about the types of coral and fish you see. The next stop is the Antilla, a 423-foot (128-meter) German ship sunk during World War II. Snap photos of the colossal boat and its marine inhabitants, while your guide details history of the ship. After 90 minutes, you return to shore by boat.

Well, on the boat is easy, just like walking anywhere, but to down the sub there are stairs and don't remember the level of difficulty, but you do have to go up and down. The boar ride is a regular boat ride and there are no... More
