Bad experience, we wouldn’t recommend this company .
Bad experience. We don’t recommend this company. We spent 9 hr in a car and we just saw a water fall. We were 6 including two grandmothers , a kid and my daughter who has a disability. The guide didn’t know the itinerary and he didn’t follow the itinerary they offered us. . When we arrive to the unesco site it was closed because he took us as a first place to the falls. We wanted to go to Nikko and the UNESCO heritage site and instead he took us to A place very cold and difficult to walk by because of the snow. . He didn’t even take us The family Pictures as they offered. No organization at all. We asked for a partial refund which I think it’s fair due the circumstances. We traveled from a different country far away and a day in Japan is unique and expensive and if we had known about the lack of professionalism of the company we would have looked for another activity to spend our money and time. This was the company answer.” 😕: “‘ “ We regret to hear about the circumstances surrounding your refund request. Viator strives to make every attempt to address our customers' concerns. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer a refund. We apologize that you were not able to fulfill your travel plans, and hope that we may be of service to you in your future travels. Great day and great guide
We had a wonderful day exploring Nikko despite it being rainy. We had forgotten umbrellas but Haris out guide had some to lend to us. Haris provided explanations of the different shrines and history and suggested restaurants for us to eat at lunch time. He was a great guide and we organised another tour with him off the back of this tour. He was knowledgeable and gave local context to the different areas we visited. A great day!

Efficient and punctual with a very nice driver!
We did two day tours to Nikko and Fuji with Live Nippon/Tour Master. They arrange a custom schedule for us for the Fuji tour so that we could go to the Fuji Safari park. Communication was fairly easily despite English being a second language and arrangements were made rapidly. On-the-day communication via WhatsApp was excellent and the people carrier arranged was clear and comfortable. Haris, our driver, was very friendly, punctual and great with our kids! Overall, a very positive experience.

        Historical and beautiful family tour
Shoaib was an excellent driver and guide for a full day tour of Nikko and area from Tokyo for our family of 6. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Japan including of Nikko Toshogu. Live Nippon and Shoaib were very accommodating in customizing the tour for our family, including young children. Nikko is over 2 hours from Tokyo by van, but I would recommend this day trip to get a bit of history and some beautiful views of Japan.

A nice day trip to Nikko
Nikko was well worth the side trip for the Toshugu Shrine alone (one of the best we saw across several cities in Japan). Haris made our trip comfortable, with nice local context and driving skills. He offered to move the car for my elderly parents making their journey more enjoyable. Unlike other day tours to Hakone (and maybe this is because the entry to the shrine and falls are not included so the guide did not come with us), this was more of a driver-as-guide and not a true guide where they explain about the sites and history. The description says there is Wifi on the bus and there was not… a minor detail. Overall an enjoyable day with Haris who was accommodating and friendly.

        Wonderful Time.
My wife and I were lucky to have Sebastian as our tour guide. He’s English and Japanese is superb! He drove us safely around the Kamakura area. Kamakura is so rich with history and Sebastian was remarkable in providing details. He knows its history and we really appreciated how he explained the difference between Shinto Shrine and Buddhist Temple. He gave us enough time to explore the area during lunchtime just to ourselves too! We went to see the The Big Budha in Kotoku-in Temple. We saw hundreds of Small Buddha in Hasa-dera Temple. We walked around the Bamboo Gardens in Hokokuji Shrine, this place is so serene. We also stopped at the High steps of Tsurugaoka Shrine and had pictures with hundreds of empty Barrels of Sake in display at Hachimangu Shrine. Our last stop before heading back to Tokyo is Enoshima Island. On the way there we drove by the coast beach of Inamuragasaki, but it was gloomy that day Mount Fuji can’t be seen but it was still nice to have some breeze from Vitamin Sea of Japan. And with all these sights seeing, Sebastian took beautiful pictures of us. Thanks so much Sebastian for this splendid experience.

Special Tateyama Alpen Route, Murodo Snow Wall
We had a special tailored trip to Tateyama Alpen Route to experience the Snow Wall in June! Imagine that, snow in June. It was a learning trip as we have no idea what to expect and what to really do. It was also Live Nippon's first trip of this kind. We are absolutely thrilled to be on this learning journey together. Farroukh is such a patient and gentle giant. He was just like another family member on our journey. We were so blown away by the sights of the Murodo mountain top, the fresh air at Tengudaira. The cozy wonderful hospitality at the Tengudaira Mountain Lodge. All these made come thru with the expertise of Khizar and Farroukh. Special thanks to Farroukh for driving us to and back from tokyo, This was perfect trip and we look forward to trips with these guys.

        Disappointed
When I make the reservation for a one day tour, it should include a driver and a guide. There were 7 of us and we paid $902 and the whole bus to ourselves. To our disappointment we only had a driver who knows nothing about the history or culture of the places of interest. His job is to pick us up bring us to the places we need to visit and that’s about it. Anyone out there beware you could fall into this situation like us,

Our tour guide, Ali was wonderful. Very polite, on time, well presented and very knowledgeable. We were able to visit several spots around Mt Fuji and Ali was more than accommodating when we wanted to stay longer in a certain spot or cut our time short. The van was very comfortable as well. More importantly, the views of Mt Fuji were amazing!! At first we thought we wouldn’t be able to see it as it was cloudy, however with some praying, the clouds parted and we had fabulous views!! Ali was also very excited and glad that we were able to see it. He went out of his way to make sure myself and the family had a wonderful experience! Highly recommend Ali for your next tour!!

The views were perfect. We had very clear skies early on. Definitely glad we were there so early because when it got later was when the clouds started coming in. Some of the stops were more like a tourist trap kind of area which we did not enjoy as much. The van was a good size. We were 5 adults, although we would not have fit comfortably if there were six of us. Our tour guide spoke some English but not as much as I expected. Overall we did enjoy the trip.

Zia was a wonderful guide. His early suggestion to do the tour 1 hour early made the experience so worthwhile. We were able to enjoy the sites longer and with less people. He safely drove us around and gave us interesting facts of the surroundings. Mt Fuji with its snow cap mountains was beautiful. Would highly recommend the tour and Zia to anyone!

What a fantastic day! We were lucky to have great weather and our guide Zia took us to the best spots for great viewing opportunities. We were a mixed age group (from 9 to 79!) and all had a blast. Highlight was the speedboat and ice cream!

It was a very comfortable vehicle with a friendly guide who spoke excellent English.
It was an extremely busy day to go to Mt Fuji. A gorgeous Saturday in March. We had communicated with the tour company about 5 places we wanted to see prior to the tour and were told to let our guide know when he arrived. The guide was told nothing about this. We paired our list down to 3 places.
We ended up being able to see only 2.
The traffic was so bad it took an hour to get to the Owakudani ropeway parking lot. After much confusion finding where to get tickets we then waited in a Disney type of line to get to the cable car. Due to lost time we were told only to go to the first stop of the cable car. Once there the view was very difficult to find and not great. (It turns out that stop is really for people staying at a hotel.) The best view for us was from the parking lot. The ropeway stop took up much of the day for very little return.
We did get to see the Hakone Open Air Museum, which we loved, but we only were able to have 30 mins there. We were told to cut the sculpture museum visit short so we would have time to see a traditional village. We never got to the Village because we lost so much time at the Ropeway.
If the company had worked with us on itinerary ahead of time we could have had a better result.
We thought having a private tour would give us more flexibility than we did. They could not extend the tour by even an hour so that we could see a bit more even though we offered to pay for it.

Our guide, Mukarram, was an excellent source of information and finding some unique spots for views of Mt Fuji. We had a beautiful day and great experiences. He recommended a local lunch stop that worked out well.

The tour, as designed, was a bit confusing. It really is very customizable with the description really providing a list of what could be included. We were asked if we wanted to focus on Mt Fuji, which was our primary interest, but didn't really understand that meant excluding Hakone. It would probably been better for our guide to offer a bit more in depth questioning. Not sure we'd have changed our focus - but didn't explore the opportunity well.

Additionally, our tour only took under 8 hours. We did skip the ropeway due to long line and perhaps were quicker at stops than expected. However, given we were entitled to 2 more hours of touring, I would expect a good guide to add in some of the other optional spots listed or something else, rather than just take us back.

Overall, we did enjoy the tour and accomplished our primary objectives. Mukarram was pleasant and helpful.

We have great memories of a perfect day spent at Mt. Fuji with thanks to our guide Intisar. Beginning with amazing views of Fuji from the Lake Kawaguchiko, Intisar suggested a speed boat ride along the lake which turned out to be an exhilarating vantage point to enhance the experience! We were offered the chance to personalize our tour so we would see highlights important to us. A stop at a village where we enjoyed freshly prepared street foods was an incredible lunch and the best fish enjoyed on our entire trip. Continuing with multiple stops along the way, the Sengen Jinja Shrine was beautiful and was enriched with history that Intisar shared. A perfect day hosted by a perfect photographer guide!

We had been lucky with great sunshine on the day of our private tour. We took a lot of beautiful pictures of Mt Fuji , the lake and the old village.
Our driver and tour guide, Mukarram, was excellent. He knows the places well and what we wanted to see. He managed the time very well and worked his way to avoid the heavy traffic so that we could be back in Tokyo on time.

My wife and I did the private day trip from Tokyo to Mount Fuji. It was a very good tour with a variety of sights. The vehicle was very clean and comfortable. Our guide Intisar was an excellent guide and driver. We were able to customize our itinerary en route to Mount Fuji and learned a lot about the area and Japan.

We got lucky with good weather although the top of Mount Fuji was covered with clouds - a common problem. Our best views were in the morning.

If you’re interested in seeing Mount Fuji this is a great option.
