I had the worst experience ever with this Airline. 1. I went to check in only to be told my flight was canceled, no communication whatsoever about the change i received in the email. My layover time changed from 1hr 30mins in one country to 20hrs in two different countries. I was traveling because of my Grandma's burial and ended up missing it. I was told I can cancel and book another flight leaving the next day with no guarantee. 2. I needed to pay $75 for extra 2 kgs on my checked in bag, lady at the counter took my credit card and passport to a locked room, left it there for over 20 minutes saying transaction didn't go through, I told her let me give you another card, she refused, I had to demand for someone else to be called to get my important documents from that room. 3. Boarding time, I was told the tickets I was given, there was non for Houston to Doha, I had to go to go to customer care desk and get the ticket. 4. At my 2nd layover city, I had to pay again for the extra 2kgs on my checked in bag because I was told Qatar airlines did not pay for it. The payment was supposed to cover till my destination for God's sake!! BEWARE WHEN BOOKING WITH THIS AIRLINE.

While on board the flight, a fellow passenger accidentally dropped their iPad, which struck my face as they were placing their bag in the overhead bin. The impact caused my glasses to fall and resulted in immediate pain in my nose and right cheek. A flight attendant inquired if I needed medical attention, and I indicated that I did, expecting a doctor to assess my condition. Instead, another staff member merely reported my injury over the phone and informed me that I was not permitted to fly and needed to disembark. Despite my insistence that I was capable of continuing the journey and the urgent nature of my trip, I was asked to sign a medical waiver with the assurance that this would allow me to stay on the flight. After signing, I was nonetheless instructed to leave the plane. Upon leaving, only one staff member assisted me in retrieving my checked luggage. No further assistance or information was provided regarding my health, unused ticket, or potential accommodations. No apologies were offered by Qatar Airways staff. An airport police officer showed empathy and requested a firefighter, who was assisting another passenger, to provide me with an ice pack for my injury. I have repeatedly contacted Qatar Airways customer service to address this matter. Initially, they acknowledged my situation and requested further checks, asking me to wait for follow-up communication. However, I have not received any proactive updates and have had to recount my traumatic experience multiple times, which has exacerbated my distress. Each call ended with instructions to wait for further contact, which has yet to occur. My main complaints are as follows: 1. Lack of Clear Procedure for Handling Passenger Injuries: The Qatar Airways staff did not clearly explain the procedure for medical assistance. I was under the impression that a doctor would be brought to the plane to examine me, but instead, I was told to leave the plane without proper medical evaluation. Additionally, the process involving the medical waiver was not explained, leaving me confused and misled. 2. Insufficient Support After Disembarkation: After being forced to leave the plane, I received no further support from Qatar Airways. There was no medical examination, assistance with accommodations, information regarding my unused ticket, or compensation for the disruption and costs incurred due to my inability to travel. 3. Unresponsive and Unhelpful Customer Service: The customer service team has been unresponsive and unhelpful. Despite being aware of my injury, they failed to provide follow-ups at beginning, forcing me to repeatedly contact them and relive the traumatic event. Their handling of the situation has been unsatisfactory and has added to my frustration. I am deeply disappointed with my experience with Qatar Airways, especially as this was my first time using their services.

One of the worst airlines in the world. I flew to Sri Lanka from Philadelphia, USA. There was transit through Qatar. On arrival to Sri Lanka from Doha Qatar they ran out of food so they forced me to eat vegetarian basic food. Finally missed my meal. I have flown with Qatar Airways many times and will make sure to never use Qatar Airways again.

Qatar airlines has lost one of my bags!!! While checking in at Boston Airport, the official gave us one tag short for our luggage for 8 bags. He gave us 7 tags and kept saying “too many bags” which was completely wrong since we had 4 tickets, and we were allowed 2 bags each per ticket. Upon arrival, we found that the person had actually given us one less baggage receipt. We have never felt necessary to count as it was assumed that he had given us the correct number. We have informed the concerned departments but still haven’t received any positive response. It was a samsonite hand carry bag worth almost 600$ containing valuable branded items. Moreover, their aircraft maintenance isn’t as efficient as they claim. I booked the bulkhead seats by paying extra. But, the remote controls attached to the seats were not working. Screens are attached to the walls in front, so we had to reach really far to navigate - causing unnecessary strain on our arms flying for 13 hrs. This wasn’t enough but each leg of our journey was made worse by delays on Doha airport because of a technical issue. While going to Boston, we were delayed for 8 hours and coming back it got delayed for an hour. Though Doha airport is an award winning airport, on the transit back, the toilets near our gate were closed because of lack of water supply! I strongly recommend that passengers should think twice before they book Qatar Airways as it’s a traveling nightmare!

London - Erbil

On 11th july, I flew with my family including three children under 5 years old as you can see from the pictures below. Our flight with qatar airways was from Gatwick airport to Erbil through Doha. When we checked in at Gatwick, realized that our seats were booked separately, told them we have three kids aged(4 and a half, 3 and a half, 1 and a half) they should sit next to us as they are very small for 7 hour flight to Doha. They said, you can change it on the plane. Cabin crew tried to help but it was impossible. The kids were crying alot, till one passenger changed their seat with my daughter, but after long wait of crying and disturbing others. My son had to sit next to strangers. The kids wasn't comfortable, they didn't have their lunch, dinner... Because they were relying on us to feed them. The whole journey (7 hours to Doha) was a nightmare. It was the first time with qatar airways but surely it will be the last time for us. How could you separate kids from their parents? We are talking about under 5 years old not 12 and 13 years old eh? We paid for the tickets to sit together. I contacted customer service but they only said sorry but to be honest sorry is not enough we want a compensation for the nightmare long flights. You can ask the cabin crew on 11th july how our situation were? They weren't happy either, they told us raise complain and they would do the same. After a year, no one interested to compensate us for the nightmare they caused to my family.
