This airline is great. There was a small delay but the service was very good. Boarded the plane and the staff welcomes me in and another greets me and settled me in. Took my bag and put it in the locker Got offered the luxuries of hot towel to clean myself and welcome drink of my choice. Then the best part is they opened the slippers and laid it out for my by my feet ready for me to put it on. No other airline does this . This is exceptional. All throughout the flight staff was nearby for anything i needed. Food and drinks served timely and hot towels given to clean up. Mid flight they brought around healthy snacks and checked on me which was so nice of them. I couldn't fault the staff. They are all friendly, welcoming and exceptional service. They also give good prices and really good luggage weight Will travel with them again

Flight got cancelled and the girls from the call centre were rude and not helpful. The website & App for whatever you want to do to manage your booking are terrible to use and not functional at all. The flight attendant for the long-hual flight was very attentive and caring, yet the service on the short-haul was kinda below average.

I always spoke positively of Air China, but this experience l’ve had with them, l take back every good thing l said. They ruined a holiday that l had put hard work in to have. They changed my return flight from Japan from having a three hour layover to a 28+ hour one without explanation, apology or an offer of compensation. They didn’t pick up their helplines and the only reason l ended up still having a flight and getting back home in time was only due to all the effort and care of Nodu and her team at Narita airport who had to go as far as creating my ticket for me since Air China had done a complete shambles of a job. Till now they still haven’t given a response to my claim that shows any remorse and l am going to keep sharing, agreeing and reviewing their terrible service. There is a reason why they have so many poor reviews.

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Air China. Luggage damaged in China during transfer. Was offered after 1 hour waiting in arrival airport a compensation of £10.00 for my £750 luggage. The check-in staff were unprofessional and inattentive, exhibiting a blatant double standard compared to the courteous and efficient service I’ve experienced with their London ground staff. They ignored my requests, more concerned with preserving their long fingernails than helping passengers. On board, I witnessed a distressing incident where the staff were extraordinarily rude and racist towards a black American female who had mistakenly sat in the wrong seat. This level of discrimination is unacceptable and left a lasting negative impression. Throughout the flight, the staff were unfriendly and rarely smiled, making the entire journey unpleasant. I expected much better from air China, but this experience has left me reluctant to ever fly with them again.

Air China rebooked us to a flight with a 20 hour layover in Beijing, where we couldn't leave the airport because of no entry permit to the country (and we didn't have enough time to get an entry permit by the time they rebooked the flight). We got no compensation at all. You would think that access to a lounge would be a minimum, especially for spending almost a full day at the airport. Event when asking them we got nothing but a sleep at the seats outside the gates (which usually is fine if you make that choice by yourself). I can imagine this being a totally different problem if you're travelling with a family or are elderly. Don't expect anything in return from Air China if something goes wrong with your flight.
